This might have been their "scheduled Game 2 loss" in that they shot 25% and Tatum struggled for large parts of the game shooting the ball. But he continually made the right play, 12 assists and 9 rebounds. They didn't let their poor shooting from 3 affect their defense and their hustle, so they turned a scheduled loss into a win  :police:

Yeah, we seem to have largely avoided the iso-into-meltdown stretch that usually happens when we go cold. Excellent.

I don't know why I watch the media but I have get up on.  I don't know what happened to Perk but I used to love him.  Now he's on my I can't stand to listen to list.  He was ranting about it's all Kyrie's fault the mavs lost and if Kyrie just got his 22pts the Mavs win.

Guess what Perk.  Hauser 0-5 from 3, Zinger 0-3, Tatum 1-7.  If those three hit 30% of their threes last night the C's would have won by 21.  What a joke he's become.  You have former players embrace talking positively about their former team.  Perk takes every chance he can to put them down.

Perk has been excommunicated from the Boston family because ALL season he has taken shots at Boston. I can't stand him.

I hate that I have to see him on Get up and now he's on First Take.  It's annoying.

Anyone surprised Dallas is favored for game 3? Maybe the bettors think Boston has a better chance of taking game 4 Friday.

I am very confident that Boston will split in Dallas IMO.

It's extremely rare for the home team to not be favored. It's about as low a spread as you can get and still have the home team favored though.

I mean Dallas absolutely needs Game 3 otherwise a sweep seems likely. I expect their role players to all play even better with the home crowd atmosphere around them. If Dallas is gonna win a game this series, Game 3 seems the best bet.

Game 3 is Dallas's must-win game.

But if Boston is gonna split, it's important to win the Game 3 to go up 3-0. That being said, I do hope the series end in Game 4.

The national media was right. Kyrie didn't shoot 6-19 again.

Instead he shot 7-18.

YOU BUM

As the ultimate FU, if he keeps playing like this, they should name him Finals MVP.

I?m sure the ?uncertainty? with KP is also tilting this.

Realistically, what else can Dallas really do to improve? The obvious answer is Kyrie shooting better, but like last night I felt like they got good contributions from their role guys (Washington + DJJ combined for 30, Gafford looked great on both ends with 13/9, Doncic fantastic as usual and had 11 assists too, etc.).

And this isn't even factoring in that Boston shot poorly, only 26% from 3 with Tatum being 6-22, Hauser being 0-5 from 3, Jaylen with 6 turnovers, etc.

Still a long series left but honestly I really can't see Dallas winning more than a game this series. They look overmatched. For them to win they need basically everything to click. Last night's game was very winnable for them, just like ECF Game 1 was for Indiana and they both blew it.

Another factor is that Doncic gets wiped out by the 2nd half. You can tell. He was phenomenal in the first half but in the 2nd half only had 9 points and made 3 shots. Game 1 was similar. All while defensively he gets cooked. Keep making him work on both ends and he'll get worn down.

Yeah. I noticed Tatum and guys blew past Luka really quick. It was like he wasn't even trying. I also like our guys pounding and hounding him on his chest. Wear the fat boy down.

My only concern is KP and if Gafford is gonna go off like how Myles Turner played like Michael Jordan in Game 1. And ofc, we still have the Scott Foster and Marc Davis special waiting for us.

Celtics realistically won?t shoot 25% from 3 again though will they?

It?s not like Dallas was defending them well. They were just bricking wide open shots. They are due for a game where it swings in the opposite direction.

Tatum as well

Has Tatum had a good shooting night the entire playoffs? Idk.
That?s how he?s going to take the next step/be an actual mvp is when he can play the way he is now but actually score/shoot well
