Like, do you even watch the game or are you just box score watching? Because you're sounding very much like a Twitter casual with these clearly biased and limited takes.

It's one thing to criticize Tatum for his the poor things he's doing, like the holding of the ball and some of the settling. Yet you also have to recognize that the Mavs' entire defense is being organized around stopping him from scoring right now and he's still managed to contribute to half of our points either thorugh his own scoring or through his 8 (!) assists at the half.

He's also doing this while being a plus defender, yet I don't see you criticizing Luka who has probably given up just as much is not more points defensively than he's created offensively.

I'm content to let Kyrie dribble the air out of the ball and iso.  If he's not passing to open teammates I'll live with the results.  We saw firsthand that he isn't nearly good enough to do what Luka is doing.

Jrue is such a steady and heady player. He is such good influence on the Js.
He is the leader out there.

I respect what Smart did while in Boston; but frankly, Jrue is an upgrade from Smart.

Yup.  Tatum has as many assist as the entire Dallas team in the first half. 

If our 3 ball starts falling we should be good.

I think if the C's just play roughly like they played that half but hit some of the good shots they are getting they'll win.

Tatum facilitating many shots for his teammates and is in on pace for 14 assists and playing strong D and people here want him benched. They are keying on him on D and he is making many great reads and passes. He has evolved as a star. Old Tatum forces shots and has a few assists.

TP. He's far from perfect tonight and can definitely be better, but a lot of these takes are just uninformed takes of people not understanding what is going on in the court.

Like, look through all the screenshots from the past six quarters and you'll find that the defense is loading up almost entirely to stop Tatum, particularly when putting the ball on the floor.
