There's a lot to nitpick in the coming few days, but to me the biggest thing was our defense was fantastic. Doncic got his but he had to absolutely work for it and looked gassed early in the 4th. Kyrie shot poorly. Nothing came easy for Dallas. Our guys were hounding them. That Pritchard and White sequence to get the steal on Doncic was fantastic. The blocks were good too. Porzingis' presence is a factor. Jaylen was sort of floating around in the paint and made an impact as well. Good stuff.

Not sure how often we have responded in mid-quarter like that to take back control of a game.

National narrative will be outside of the 1st qtr the Cs and Dallas played even.

Old Tatum would have forced things tonight. He too, has matured and become a true team player

I was nervous about game one. It’s the easiest game for a road team to steal in the playoffs.

I think Boston will be better game 2

Celts have a history of bad game 2 home losses after a game 1 win in the playoffs going back to the 80's.

Probably not good for Dallas that Tatum wasn't good while Doncic went off and they lost by 18 (probably should have been 25+ if not for garbage time). Sure, maybe Kyrie rebounds but so could Tatum.

Gafford/Lively can't do much this series especially with Porzingis back. Horford looked great too.
