Nice win. Got a bit scary in the 4th but pulled it away. I liked the first half where the C's were just hitting those 3s. Those were huge.

Gotta keep that little magic of mine going

I liked seeing JB pumping up his teammates playing the Marcus Smart role as a vocal leader. Big 3 by PP when needed. A couple 3s for Hoauser finally. Starters were solid with exception of Big Al tonight. I cannot believe how Mitchell never misses. It's ridiculous. Thankfully Dean Wade wasn't the same guy we saw in regular season game. Holiday was very solid in all aspects tonight.

Still undefeated on the road, which is big emphasis on the C's success the past three postsrasons...maybe they just have road court advantage in them.

Does anyone think Allen is going to be back any time soon?

I know Mitchell owns us, but surely there has to be at least one game this series where he's a puddle right? Even an elite player has an off-night here or there. Feels destined to come soon.

Ha! I’ve been thinking the same. Seems he doesn’t cool down.  If the Cs end up winning this series, will be good prep for Brunson who also doesn’t seem to have an off night.

Brunson ranks #1 in the playoffs in both minutes (42 MPG) and usage (35%).  I do question how long he can keep that up before he gets gassed and starts to come down to earth.

He's been putting up big numbers no doubt, but I feel it's somewhat fools gold given that he hasn't played a single good defensive team.  The Sixers were about average defensively and the Pacers were a bottom 6 defensive team.

When he comes up against a good defensive team (like Boston or Minnesota) that makes him really work for every basket, will he be able to keep doing this? I doubt it.

By comparison Tatum has struggled, but Boston has also played Miami and Cleveland who were both top 8 defensive teams.  If Boston had played Philly and Indiana Tatum wouild probably be averaging 30 himself.

Mitchell has started to move away from driving to the rim as much. He’s been shooting a lot more 3s the last two games

Cs haven’t had a tight game, but this one does run counter to the narrative that runs ad nauseam here. The Cavs worked hard to cut into the lead throughout the fourth but Cs answered the entire quarter. A lot of big plays, big shots - in addition to keeping their heads defensively.
This has been the issue for Celtics in these playoffs. They would be 7-0 by now if only they played with consistent defensive intensity every game.

Tatum has his 24th career playoff game with at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. That ties him with Bill Russell, Charles Barkley and Hakeem Olajuwon for 10th most all-time.

That’s pretty dang amazing for just turning 26 and entering his prime.
