This series was never going to be easy and all the homers that said it would be and doubled down after game 1 saying “sWeEp” are no different then the team..massively overconfident

Cavs playing with house money now. All the pressure on Boston going to a building they can’t win in.

I'm still picking Celtics in 6 btw. But it'll be rough. I expect them to go down 2-1, then win the next three with at least one game being a nail biter the C's prevail in.

For everyone that keeps pointing to Mitchell saying he's the difference tonight, he had just as good if not a better game last game (33, 6, and 5 on nearly 50% shooting) than this game (29, 7, and 8 on nearly 50% shooting).

No, it's absolutely the others tonight. We didn't play hard or focused enough to stop the others, and our offense/shooting were much worse tonight and couldn't make up for the difference.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Gonna be honest, I predicted they lose Game 3 regardless even if up 2-0, now it looks like they could be a 2-1 deficit in the series. Game 4 and 5 both become massive, need those.

It's dumb to assume we've already lost game 3. We haven't even played yet.

This loss is downright horrible, but it has nothing to do with next game. I'm not sure how the coaching staff can rah-rah this team into playing more focused, intense, and steady basketball moving forward, but they're going to have to.

I mean, look at the intensity in the Knicks/Pacers series. That's what's waiting for us if we do win this series.

I really thought Tatum would get it going tonight especially after getting to the line very early and sinking 4 free throws.
Nope. Playing absolutely tragic for a “superstar” level player… white and brown and other role players have been carrying us and due for a poor game and Tatum still didn’t show up

taelnt wise no reason we could not win in 5 like 1st round,

issue is we are mentally weak and soft

True. But Saturday night, ABC game, at Cleveland with the arena rocking, very tough ask.

Garland = 4-5 3PTA
D Mitchell = 5-7 3PTA

Combined 9-12 3PTA

Some of those were just ridiculous iso shots they made.

Several of those were due to awful defensive scheming back with our awful extreme drop coverage again.

In an alternative universe...would the Wolves think about getting Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum for Ant-Man? Just...a thought.  :-X

Boston continues to treat most playoff games like a preseason game. Tonight, again at home, to a tired, injured below average Cavs team is unfortunately predictable and embarrassing.
