No excuses.  Need to get the job done.  We have everyone playing in the Finals.  Something that worried all of us during the year.  We really need his rim protection and floor spacing.  I know Kyrie and Luka a beasts and are playing amazing basketball but if the C's are all healthy and clicking I just can't see anyone in the league beating them.  Still though it's the hope that kills you.

KP good to go has to mean he’s gone full out on the calf with no re-injury.

That’s a relief for now but every shot, sprint, jump that puts strain on the calf will be concerning.  Will be really glad to see him get through a game - even a 15 minute game - with no issues.

The Celtics have another level to go to. They haven't needed it yet. I hope they turn it up full blast. I think Dallas has played as well as they can to get to the finals.

This is my thought also. Plus Dallas has played 3 extra games. Luka said his knees are still hurting even after the layoff.

Porzingis is better than Kornet/Tillman. That alone is huge, even if KP can only go around 20-25 minutes a game and average maybe half of what he usually does (so 10 PPG and 4-5 RPG?).

I still think his presence alone just changes a lot of things. It'll be harder for opposing teams to lob it or attack the basket with a 7' 3" guy just towering around there, and then on offense his ability to hit 3s and just hover around the perimeter might also affect how Dallas approaches things defensively.

I kind of view KP as a "decoy" this series. He can have some great games too assuming he holds up, but I think he can open up things for others and also "maximize" Horford by letting Horford not play heavy minutes and also opening things up for him too.

Everyone is focused a lot on the Jays, Kyrie and Luka. Rightfully so. But I think ultimately this series will really come down to Horford, Porzingis and even a role player like Hauser knocking down the open looks, because Dallas will have to pick their poison and will probably leave those guys open. On the flip side, we can't let their role players go off too (Washington, DJJ, etc.).

Well they have two good defensive forwards to put on Jaylen and Tatum in Derrick Jones Jr and PJ Washington. So they have good matchups. Tim Legler was pointing out that not many teams have two good defensive forwards who can matchup against the Jays. Dallas does.

Luka will probably be on Derrick White.

I still don't think Dallas has an answer for Tatum. Sorry but if PJ Washington locks up Tatum and Tatum doesn't do much this series then that would be a horrible look especially after his 2022 Finals.

Tatum has absolutely cooked PJ Washington when he has guarded JT. JT has averaged 31.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 14 games versus P.J. Washington Jr. in his career.

How much was he averaging on Andrew Wiggins before the last finals? I get where you’re coming from and there’s a lot of time in between games but I’m just not banking on things like this like others seem to do. I expect Tatum to play well, I also expected him to dominate the 2022 finals. We will see.

Did you think the warriors had an answer for him? I certainly didn’t. He was playing better leading up to that finals too.

DAL will double team Tatum on most possessions. That is what every other team did in the playoffs. You can’t just go by box scores.  But they don’t double, then yes, Tatum should put up points.
