Feel like Jaylen is gonna heat up a bit in the 2nd half.

Also is Tatum gonna actually play like 45 minutes today??   :o

KP has been great the RIM protection and the 3s.. and the passing.

Really just Tatum, KP, Hauser, and PP who have played well thus far, with JB, White, Jrue, and Al playing “meh” so far.

JB looked rusty, but JT with a really good start to the playoffs. What stint by Hauser to start the 2nd. Pritchard continues to have an impact - probably as much if not more so than DW and Holiday - so far.  Looking for a nice second half from Jaylen.

wifey called hauser Curry junior LOL

Both the Jays late on getting back on D.  Leads to a open Herro 3.

Actually I think on that play there were 3 guys late getting back.
Our effort on defense needs to improve.  Even if it is just practice for later in the playoffs when we need it more.
We need to make things hard for the Heat every time they have the ball.  No more letups.

I'm sure our coaching crew noticed.  They need to chew into our players for that.

Btw, I feel more justified in saying Mazzulla should have given Hauser some minutes in last year's postseason. He can hit 3s really well and we needed that. But nah we needed guys like Smart to be there and chuck up 3s and miss anyways along with everyone else last May  ::)

He's our version of Robinson/Korver/Reddick, etc.

C's should be up 30. The Heat are not a good team. Need to stop forcing the ball and make the extra pass.

How is it after all these years this team still doesn't get that?
I think the Heat played a good first half. And the C's, save for Brown did as well. I thought they made the right pass most of the time. The scoring draughts came when the 3's were't falling.

The Heat can defend all they want, if the C's are hitting their 3's it won't matter.  That's why I liked the fact that Joe went to Pritchard and Houser early and kept them in.

This team isn't gonna win every game by a 30+ point blowout. I know that's sad to hear, but that's just the reality of it. There are things to improve on but it's only Game 1. Just get out of today with a 1-0 lead and keep chugging along. Miami isn't gonna lay down and everyone knows it.

Now if they blow this lead and go down 1-0, yeah they'll deserve all the hot takes.

They've made the Celtics work for everything. Zero easy baskets so far.

I think the paint is going to open up a bit more in the 2nd half.   Heat will be trying to close out harder on the 3 ball.
That should give us more space for driving lanes.  Need to adjust to how they are playing us.

It's funny that even Doris Burke straight up said he commits illegal screens

Good Lord, Tatum. How many wide open threes are you going to miss?
