The Sox are currently 2 games out of the Wild Card, and ahead of Houston, TB, Texas, and Toronto. I'm content, as long as these prospects like Mayer and Anthony develop.
Worcester just got an ATM. Anthony, Teel, and Mayer were all promoted to AAA ball. Not far behind them will be Kristian Campbell, who some scouts thing has the highest ceiling of all the Sox prospects.

Next season seems like the arrival date for all of these players.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I feel like this puts Duran's "f*** em" rally cry in a different light, tbh.  Makes him sound less like an advocate for mental health and more like an immature kid who doesn't understand what it means to represent something bigger than himself.

Could be both?

Could be.  Though he does have a longer track record of immaturity (if that is all this is) than he does of advocacy.

Hopefully he grows and changes that in time.

He wasn't, heat of the moment.  C'mon, no one has said something in the heat of the moment they've regretted almost instantly.  I'm not defending what he said but can understand a heat of the moment comment.  He apologized, nothing else to do, move on!  Look, we have a candidate for president who has said some things and made fun of people and he didn't apologize.

Nice win for the Sox last night.  The strikeouts are getting a little shocking, but a much needed win using the entire existing roster pretty much.
Yup

While I agree about forgiveness, I don't agree about comparing people to that particular candidate. Just because a person in power lacks a certain standard of morality doesn't give the rest of the country the right to treat people like that.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

This team is trending towards missing the playoffs for the fourth year in the last five, and this is even with the addition of the extra wild card spot. And this might be the third straight year after 2021 where they just collapse in August and into September. That's just inexcusable.

But then again, the GMs and ownership don't seem to care anymore. Our pitching staff is also seemingly filled with guys who run out of gas in the 2nd half or are injury prone, including the young guys. So yeah... I mean I like that we kept Cora but idk if it's gonna make much of a difference if the roster is gonna remain mediocre and we keep avoiding going past the luxury tax.

I?ve got to think this is the last year of not investing in pitching in the offseason. There are so many good, young, cost-controlled position players in the bigs and 4 top prospects less than a year away. So the window opens now towards using that freed up money to build a pitching staff. But who knows with this franchise lately.

Yeah I mean, I feel like I've also heard the same thing the last two offseasons, and nothing. So many pitchers available and they didn't even try to add one really.

They did sign Lucas Giolito but another injury and lost season.  Maybe next season!

I just want that ownership group to stay far away from the Celtics franchise lol. I don't want John Henry to tell Brad to trade Tatum for a bunch of draft capitals like what he did with Mookie Betts to the Dodgers
