Yup, Cavs are the team to beat us in the playoffs. Would hate to draw them early in the postseason.

Celtics having trouble closing out games, same thing as last year. Sigh.

And Joe being Joe as always. We need a new coach.

It’s not so much that they have trouble closing our games… They just stopped respecting this team after they were up by 22 early in the fourth. They thought the game was over, stopped defending, took poor shots and didn’t run back in transition and let the Cavs get in rhythm from three and waited too long to rouse themselves. Definitely gave the game away and deserved to lose. I hope they have to watch that fourth-quarter 20 times tonight.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Love the negativity

They blew a game

They’re winning 90% of the time

I don't mind the loss as much as how dumb we are at the end of games.
Yes other teams are going to get red hot, and we won't win every game.
But this one we had the ball, down 1 with 15 seconds left at that crap shot from JT is the best we can get?
Call the timeout a call a play and execute it.  For ONCE use Tatum as a decoy and get someone an open shot.

This is so not last year. Ridiculous.
That was an exact copy of last year.

What about the 11 previous games?

Doesn't matter. They lost a regular season game in March. Fire the coach. Trade the Jays. Embrace the rebuild. Pritchard is the future. Might be the 2nd coming of IT4.

Denver is going to beat the brakes off Boston Thursday

Going to be a disaster of a road trip

Just wondering why it went to a jump ball when Porzingis clearly had the rebound?
Like everyone else, wondering why Joe didn’t call a timeout?
Hopefully it will be a learning opportunity for the team. Can’t let down in the fourth

Yes, we are. I don't understand why that was a jump ball KP had that ball on the rebound.
Right!

With Mitchell and Strus out and the others questionable with us fully healthy, this has trap game written all over it. Hopefully we still come out focused and with intensity and take a 12 game winning streak to Denver.

We are going to lose at some point so they are all traps until the streak ends.

 ;D

Welp.

This is why I don't trust Joe in the playoffs.  A blind man could tell we needed a timeout when the lead got cut to 10, then 6, then 3.  The personnel on the floor were not working on either end.

Remarkable ending.  Too bad. But - this loss is irrelevant in the grand scheme. The Cavs got scalding hot and the Cs cold for 5 minutes and that was that.  Cs needed a wake up loss - they can’t lapse like that and expect to win.

After 7 years of this they should already know how to handle games like this. Nope.

I agree, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team get that hot. Not even the Celtics against GSW on Sunday.

What’s too bad is the total lack of composure by the Cs. It would have been fine if we had lost a close game and the game had been close the entire time, but to lose a game you were up by 22 in with like 8-something left in the game is brutal…unheard of even

It’s what they do. Everyone has forgotten the lakers game. Played down to a team missing players. This is a staple of the Celtics

Absolutely excellent loss. We needed that in the worst way before going to Denver. A nice little reset. My biggest fear with the team is messing around the rest of the year. They literally stopped playing after the 3rd quarter. I’m not even upset about this game.

Seriously? We just blew a 22 point lead in the 4th to one of our top rivals. Fans tend to get upset about things like that.

I don't agree with this at all.  Cavs get red hot and we let down in the 4th has NO impact on what happens the rest of the trip.

Coaching fail.

And it's always the same mistake

Same as always. Just an inability to do anything to change a run down the stretch and consistent wrong decisions when the game is on the line.

Not sure how you can feel confident with him as our coach. As good as we are, he just completely folds down the stretch. Absolute idiot.

The best hope we have is games don't get tight in the playoffs.

Back to wanting Joe fired.
