Outplay Giannis, Joel Embiid...hahaha C's have always bullied the 76ers. Giannis is tougher, but looks like the Bucks aren't going anywhere.

The Miami Heat is that team to keep an eye on as they're the 8th seed.

In order I fear Cleveland, Miami, New York then Milwaukee

If NYK finishes in the 2-3 seed bracket, I think this is the ECF matchup

Eh, Milwaukee and Miami are the only true threats….6ers would’ve been as well with a healthy Embiid

We are close to running away with the East and soon after the overall #1 record, and it's still February!

ok so who do we want in the ECF? hope bucks and cavs get knocked off?

i am not worried about embiid or jimmy butler we have beaten both in playoffs and we have beaten giannis also but bucks are tough.

The Sixers made some key additions at the deadline. IF Embiid gets back in time in decent condition, they will be tough. But that's a big if.

I'm not afraid of Miami, Milwaukee, NY, Cleveland or Indy.

What worries me is Philly slips into play-in, Embiid comes back and suddenly we have to face them in the first round lol

Definitely.

nope. beat them before and had no business losing last year especially with game 7 at home.

In spite of all the MVP-Type Flopping from Brunson, we WON.

we won 5 vs 8

That’s not a very big worry.  It means the Sixers will have had to play two play-in games, presumably losing the first.  I don’t think the Sixers drop to the 8th spot with a healthy Embiid — either they make it through the first game or Embiid isn’t actually healthy.

I just love our starting guards.  Consistent contributions.  I'd argue we have the best backcourt in the NBA.  There are no holes in either Jrue's or White's game.

Good on Brad for not being too afraid to make some hard moves to pull it off.

Yup, shipping out Smartacus for KP when the Brogdon deal fell through was an absolute no brainer and a winner

I promised myself I wouldn't buy another jersey until we won a title.  Right now I have Bird, Pierce, and Garnett.

If we win banner 18 this year, I will buy a Holiday jersey.  Heck I might buy all 5 of our starters jerseys and hang all 5 across my living room wall.

The best thing about getting Holiday is it was from Milwaukee, so they lost his strength which was defense and organization, which we got, and we didn’t need his offense anyway so he (and KP) have complemented our team perfectly…the fit was perfect, even more so that both have been willing to sacrifice, as has Al. That’s what was missing from our other teams esp the Cryrie teams which were stacked too…the willingness to sacrifice personal stats.

I'm going to be honest - there isn't a single team in the East that really worries me.  I think we will get to the ECF this year without much trouble.  The only team that really worries me in the entire league I think is Minesota, as I feel they are just a difficult matchup for the Celtics.

Of all the teams in the East the bucks are the toughest, but I'm still not that bothered by them.  They have major defensive inconsistency after losing Jrue, and offensively they are pretty much in the same position we were in a year or two ago where they are extremely reliant on two guys to play well.  If they don't get big nights from both Holiday an Giannis then they are going to find it VERY hard to get a win...and I don't think both of those guys can have big games 4 times out of 7 against this celtics defence.

All a sudden the Celtics may have the toughest path to the Finals lol.

Potentially:
#8 76ers
#4/#5 Knicks/Bucks
#2 Cavs

The Celtics are clearly the best team but this overconfidence that we shouldn’t have a problem at all with anybody is absolutely delusional. This core has not shown they can dominate consistently in the playoffs, they’re up and down and series get extended longer than they should every single year. Also to not have respect for Miami and Jimmy butler is such homerism it’s practically nauseating. Every series we play against them has been extremely tough and they are 2-1 in those series with are 1 series win came down to a game 7 in the final seconds but ok.

T wolves have built an old school 1970’s 80’s Lakers type team with huge centers , and it’s just a time proven formula, that can destroy Curry or Bron teams. They are the C’s biggest challengers IMO.

Even if that were to be the case, that’s still not as tough a path as any of the West teams.  Right now, the Wolves would probably be looking at Suns, the Nuggets, then OKC/LAC
