Joe said earlier today that these letdowns are good - let the Cs see that they can’t just come in and win every game.  Not sure they’re learning any lesson from tonight.  If Haliburton was playing Cs might have lost this one.  But they pull it out and don’t really suffer the consequence of their lapses.

Cs could learn from Indy - Indy plays steady and aggressive.

Good to win though.

Best team in the league with another win.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Well, we got lucky that Hali was on a major minutes restriction. Really disappointed with the team’s lack of maturity after getting a big lead. They gave up a million offensive rebounds and essentially stopped playing defense. We weren’t closing out on any of their shooters in the 2nd half - glad they went cold.

But a W is a W, so I guess I’ll stop complaining  :P

Two-way superstar Tatum!

That's what I love about our top 6. You can't call any of them one-way players. They get after it on both ends.

Why was Hali on the bench during the endgame? Was he hurt or did he have a minutes restriction?

Nobody wants to play the Pacers in the playoffs.  Their defense needs a lot of work, but Haliburton is scary.  They can steal games with their offensive prowess.

Really spread the scoring around this game. Every starter had 17 or more points. Great to see.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

If Haliburton wasn't on a minutes restriction we very well could have lost that game.  They had all the momentum before Carlisle subbed him out.
