Better to deal with it and heal up now as opposed to April or May

Safe to say he'll be out till end of December or is that an exaggeration?

This.  I’m fine with hime missing the IST. My hope is the whole starting 5 + Al miss the ‘championship’ game if they make it.

Calf strains are a bit annoying. Like @Birdman said, Burrow dealt with a similar injury and it took him about a month to really recover. I'm guessing he'll remain out for another week at least.

Not surprising. Friday 12/1 was only 1 week after the injury, and usually when a guy is "re-evaluated" after an injury it just means they are going to see how it goes and then start working him back.

A lower body muscle injury on a big man is something you take every caution with. The Celtics won't play again until either Thursday or Friday so sitting out Vs Ind buys him at least another 3 days off.

The Pacers have a lot of young athletes and shooters (regardless of whether Haliburton plays, I expect them to still play a similar style), so I wonder how long Joe will play Kornet. Fortunately, their primary backup Jalen Smith is injured and won't play. It's possible Kornet could play against the subs but come out again whenever Turner is in. If it's a competitive game, however, I wonder how many minutes Joe will extend Horford to. Also, is Queta going to get minutes in this one? Is Brissett going to get "vs. former team" minutes or is he a DNP-CD?

If this was a real playoff game, we would he play?

This is the reason we have 6 starter level players. I'd rather err on the side of caution with KP. None of us expected he would play every game.
