You take nothing for granted in the NBA. Even the worst teams can play with the best on certain nights. A win is a win, and we need to keep that mentality for the Hornets tomorrow.

KP with a great game...26pts, 8 rebs, and 6blocks...

On just 13 shots.  Remarkable.

Tatum with the clutch assist to Zinger.  8 turnovers for Tatum, but some of those were on some awful calls by the refs.  To be fair, both teams were the recipient of the bad whistle.

Do the refs just hate working in Memphis? There's been some bad officiating this season, but some Memphis games have been especially egregious.

I also go the sense from the pregame and the get go that the Celtics were really friendly with these guys and never took them seriously until it got late in the game.

Fun game and the Cs are ready for the Hornets tomorrow.

I am impressed with how often it feels like Porzingis is playing against a bunch of high schoolers. He's a game changer.

  • GOT IT!!!
That was surprisingly enjoyable to watch because it required both teams to not rely so much on spamming threes. C’s got to get out of this iso closer mindset though.

Tatum needs to do a better job taking care of the ball. 8 turnovers is just unacceptable…

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Let this be a reminder that we can't assume a W just based on talent level.  Fringe NBA players are out to prove that they belong and will close the talent gap with effort if we mail in a game like this one.

The Grizzlies have three decent players on their active roster, and that's only if you're giving Aldama more credit than he probably deserves.  But they left everything they had out there and it was very nearly enough to beat a Celtics team that played unfocused and disinterested for much of the game.

Last year the Cs probably lose this game...KP and Jrue make a huge difference.

They definitely are a stabilizing factor when our two superstars put their heads up their butts like they are known to do every now and then

You said it. If this game had been left up to the J's, apparently on one of their brain-freeze nights, we definitely lose.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Agree. When things were becoming unglued offensively, I was calling for Jrue to settle the team down and he did.
