Jrue averaging 13.7ppg 5.3apg in 34mpg.

Those numbers are not dissimilar to Marcus Smart.

Jrue - this year:
FG: 44%
3PT: 35%
FT: 83%
TS: 55%
AST/TO: 2.9
Usg: 17.6%
Off Rtg: 120
Def Rtg: 108
Net Rtg: +12
BPM: +2.6

Smart - last year:
FG: 41%
3PT: 34%
FT: 75%
TS: 54%
AST/TO: 2.7
Usg: 17.8%
Off Rtg: 111
Def Rtg: 112
Net Rtg: -1
BPM: -1.0

Amazing how close their basic box score stats are, and how incredibly different their advanced / "impact" stats are.  Smart being a -1 net rating and -1 Box Plus/Minus while Jrue has a +12 Net Rating and +2.6 Box Plus/Minus

We just need to shift into another gear overall.  Better def, keep our head in the game better with dumb turnovers, execute on offense more, make Embiid move.

We were leading by 10 but they let go of the rope and got casual, mainly led by Holiday turning the ball over

We’re playing this game like the lazy old stretches last year where we think we can just show up and it’s good enough to win. Just lazy low effort basketball.

Mazzulla is also still clueless on how to get the most out of our guys. He talked a good talk all off-season but I still don’t believe in him. I honestly wish we went after Nurse.

The Sixers are surprisingly likeable without Harden.

I don't enjoy Embiid much but the rest of the cast are a likeable bunch. Well except for Marcus Morris but he isn't playing (did not like him in Boston, too selfish).

The NBA won't acknowledge or seek to improve the poor quality of their officiating until it affects their bottom line.  I'm getting close to that point, honestly.

They suck at their jobs and it harms their product.  This is EVERY SINGLE GAME, for EVERY SINGLE TEAM.  This isn't a Celtics fan squawking, this is a fan of basketball squawking.  I don't remember the last time I sat down for a game and incompetent officiating didn't mar the result in some noteworthy way.  It happens every night, no matter who is on the court.

Our guys are shooting 5/19 from 3 and 41.6% overall.  Not going to win unless they start making more shots.

The worst thing is they don’t hold the refs accountable for their decisions. In the soccer English Premier League the officials are demoted if they make too many mistakes, here they have 100% job security.

I just wish we never fired Ime.  Fine the guy, give him a slap on the wrist, suspend him for a month without pay or something.  I really liked him as a coach - he had a tough "take no BS" attitude that really seemed to bring the best out of the guys.  He was also a grind-it-out defensive oriented player when he was in the league and as a guy who impacted the game with energy and effort, and that seemed to rob off on the team.

I understand the there were dramas and there were probably people on the org who hated him for what happened, but at the end of the day sometimes you just need to do what's best for the team.

I thought we got out-hustled by their long active quick forwards. We were not athletic enough or big enough in matching up against them. They helped spark Philly back into the game with their hustle.

I thought Mazzula's lineup choices against them went badly. He needs to change that up in the 2nd half. Give more Horford / Zinger combo minutes and/or more hustle forwards like L Stevens or O Brissett minutes instead of Hauser. We need to matchup in terms of physicality, athleticism and effort at forward. That is where we are getting out worked. Tatum and Jaylen need more help there.

This game is terrible and boring. It would be awesome if Tatum and especially Brown actually show up in the 2nd half. I also wouldn’t mind if Pritchard learned how to shoot again.

Both Jays need to wake up and make a bigger impact.
JB had one of those games where he just isn't making plays and is fading into the background.
If his shot isn't falling JB needs to do other things.

They've manipulated the standard too much for the offense and have the refs too involved in the game. When the game is so skewed towards benefiting the offense and punishing contact/the defense, it's going to lead to these issues of too much involvement and inconsistency from the refs.

A couple of seasons ago it seemed like they had made progress towards regressing back to a less involved standard and letting more contact and physicality go, but they're right back at it.
