Trading Jaylen at this juncture still makes no sense to me. This draft is over, so any future picks won't help in the upcoming season. I know Shams and others are reporting but unlike the Giannis or even Lamelo trades, there is a lot of "I think", "they might", etc. but really not a lot of substance. Yeah, every team has "discussions", means nothing. They've also referenced like half the league at this point in these rumors. I just don't think Stevens is someone who gets flustered or doesn't know what he's doing, he could be doing his due diligence but if nothing is good, he'll just keep Jaylen around and not just "dump him out of desperation".
Giannis was a bit of a unique situation because he is a Top-20 all time talent so they probably explored it, but otherwise I'm really not sure what comes close to value for Jaylen. There's more risk involved with a bunch of the targets too and in other situations, it's a downgrade with role players and picks.
