Sean Grande brought up a good point last week....The league should have an East and a West MVP for the season, like they do in MLB

What was his reasoning?

It would give our guys a better chance at winning?
Yup

Haha.  I think that's pretty much it.

I like the tradition of the way MLB does it, but it would also be interesting to see voters forced to pick between Judge and Ohtani.

Jaylen Brown on how they lost the 2022 Finals: We was in a drop coverage on Steph Curry. We should have never been in a drop coverage.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I know at least half of this forum was yelling this exact thing all series long. (Coincidentally - drop coverage was initially killing us tonight, too.)

And Brown was turning the ball over many, many times.

And to think the Celtics could've taken a 3-1 series lead in Game 4. Once that 4th quarter unfolded, everything went downhill from there

20 TOs in 6 games is not great, but its not bad for a leading scorer. Tatum was at 23 TOs for the series.

Not sure why shade is being thrown here. Brown is right about that. We let Curry get going with the drop coverage, and Curry's explosion is why we lost.

Yes and no.  There were plenty of factors, including some clunky games from the Jays.  We blew Game 4, and then we lost Game 5 despite Curry being terrible that night.

Always felt that they kinda ran out of gas there in the end too.  Back to back 7 game series just to get to the Finals.  Felt like they started losing their legs there mid series.
