Bobby Krivitsky: Chris Mannix on two centers the Celtics may target between now and the trade deadline on Feb. 5: "The two big men that I'm looking at, that I think the Celtics are looking at and have discussed internally are Ivica Zubac, the LA Clippers center, and Robert Williams III."

According to Sports Illustrated?s Chris Mannix, Tatum is pushing really hard to return to basketball activities by February or March.

All indications out there, and everything I?ve heard, is that he?s going to push really hard in February-March to get back out there on the floor, and be there with the team for most of the second half of this season, Mannix said on his NBA on NBC podcast.

I think he should fully recover, but it is his body and career and the choice lies with him.

I think March is realistic for JT. Just hope he's not rushing back to try and come back February or anything like that.

Just come back by March or April, no rush to this.

The Boston Celtics would ?love? to trade for Jaren Jackson Jr., per
@HPbasketball

?Multiple league sources have asserted something whispered in the wind for a long time: The Boston Celtics would love to add Jaren Jackson Jr?But if Boston loads up a pick-heavy trade package with some nice talent or tradeable contracts (Jordan Walsh, Hugo Gonzalez) for a Memphis team that would be starting over, does that get them there? Is anyone going to beat that offer for Jaren? is Jaren?s value better in a year under Iisalo and next to Edey, or worse??

Jaren Jackson would be a nice get.  Jackson and Simons don't quite match up but close enough that a deal could be built around that.  It seems that MEM could do better than what BOS could offer for picks and young players though.

Would people be willing to do something like:

Simons, Hugo, Walsh, plus picks
for
Jackson

Another pathway could be White to another team, like HOU, and young players and picks from HOU (and likely BOS) to MEM.

Sure, but Memphis never would. Teams aren?t just going to give the Cs their best players for scraps. JJJ won DPOY and he turned 26 years old a few months ago.

i have unrealistically high expectations for Gonzalez. Therefore, I would really prefer Hauser be sent out. In combination with Simon and picks and maybe Walsh, that is a credible package. Whether it beats other offers is another question.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
