True, but JD is a small point guard. He couldn?t play off-ball so he would never fit with the Celtics. JD was never going to run the offense, even off the bench. Harper JR is a 6?5 shooting guard. If he can make 3?s and play good defense, he could have a place on the team.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I'm all for him turning into a good player that can help the team but I'm tempering my expectations in light of how other players have dominated in Portland and not have that translate into NBA-caliber talent.  I'm sure he'll get some time when White and PP miss some time which will inevitably happen

Don't be silly.  you know no matter what's posted, no matter how positively intended, is going to wind up in a debate.   ;)

With Jayson Tatum already back to playing one-on-one after tearing his right Achilles tendon in May, Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla was asked Wednesday when the team will begin conversations about the All-Star?s potential return. It?s all up to him, Mazzulla said after his team?s practice. At the end of the day, his health is the most important thing, his process is the most important thing. You trust him, trust the team that?s around him he?s got a great team and then you just kind of go from there. So it kind of just all starts (with) where him and his team think he?s at.

I don't think this organization has the drama some organizations have.

But it sounds like maybe some of the medical people would like Tatum to take his time.

Meanwhile, Mazz wants to rely on Tatum's ability to make the right decision with his body.

Ultimately, this will be a non-issue. Stevens won't let this become an issue.
