BTW, I would expect a trade this weekend.  Seems to be the time they routinely make deals.

Ayton will be a Laker.

Absolutely nobody would take on Ayton for a year? They couldn?t even salary dump him? That sounds hard to believe.

A lot of stuff going the Lakers way right before and after they sell for $10B, total coincidence I?m sure.

Least shocking development in NBA history. The league is rigged to make the Lakers competitive.

Lol - they can have Ayton. Lebron will be out on that roster by game 6 of the regular season.

Expected but deeply nauseating nonetheless.

Wait so what can Boston offer Horford, and what about GSW?

We can offer Horford the max. We won?t, but we can.  Our actual limit is the team?s budgetary goals (under second apron or under tax).

Golden State is limited to $5.7 million in year one.

TP, thanks. So Boston can't give him 5-6M? Idk, I'd be fine just dumping Niang tbh

Sorry, I meant we could offer him up to the max.  In other words, it is the team?s budget that is the issue, and not any other limitations from the CBA.  And also Horford?s desire to stay here in what may not be a competitive year vs. trying out the Warriors.

Would absolutely love to see us get off Niang's contract ASAP. Horford situation notwithstanding.

At worst, couldnt the C's waive JD, stretch Niang, resign Al and still be under the cap?

I guess they could. But I don't think they feel an urgency where they'd need to get under the cap ASAP. They have the whole year.

I mostly just want Niang gone because he's a stiff.
