Our current depth chart as I have it:

White           Pritchard         Vet Min?
Simons         Scheierman     1st Rd Pick?
Brown          Hauser            Walsh
Tillman         Naing              2nd Rd. Pick?
Queta           Vet Min?          2-way player?

Injured:  Tatum

We may sign Kornet, but in my mind, not without dumping Hauser or Simons.

Two key guys in our championship are now gone. We are under the 2nd apron. What will Brad do next? Will he try to get JB and DW some help or will he trade them too and go on a full rebuild? Will JB and DW want to stay and play for a middling team? Will Brad go after Giannis? This is a wild off season. The NBA needs to review their cap rules. We?re getting punished for having a brilliant GM. Ugh.
I see no reason to trade White or Brown (or Tatum of course). That trio is still a good core for years to come. I doubt the new owners bought the team to blow it up.

I hope you are right.

I think they'll almost certainly resign at least one of Kornet/Horford, maybe both, without dumping Hauser or Simons. The C's are 4.5 million under the 2nd apron, if they just dump Niang by attaching a second they'll move to nearly 13 million below the 2nd apron. That should be enough to bring back at least one if not both of Konet and Horford and fill out the roster.

Is there a chance Hauser + a first rounder (or future first) can get them a PF/C?

Sacrifice sorry Niang in order to keep Hauser, al and Kornet.

But one thing is for certain. Joe is going to have to play the young guys. Baylor, Walsh (unfortunately), the picks tomorrow. They can let Davison walk as he is nothing but a g league talent.

They are going to overreach for a big tomorrow in the draft. The guy from Crieghton or Stanford.

Moving up for another PG. Awesome. That would make about 4 or 5 ball handlers and zero bigs.

This is beginning to feel like Danny's love for combo guards back in the day.

Man, who are we going to trade? Because it better not be White (or Brown or Tatum obviously). How highly coveted is Simons? What can Hauser and our 1st get us?

I am all for moving up in the draft but good lord your entire team is guards and small wings at this point.

The #28+#32 probably gets you to about 20-22, if past trades are any indication. But if they added in Hauser i'd imagine that #28, #32 and Sam could get you into the lottery, you just need some team willing to play ball.

One nice thing about now being below the 2nd apron is the team no longer has to feel pressure to Trade Hauser. Sure, they can trade huim, but its no long a necessity. They can look for actual value offers rather than straight dumps.

Also, the C's sort of still have a roster crunch.  They have 12 players currently under contract for next year with Craig/Kornet/Horford all free agents and #28 and #32 to roster. Barring other moves most likely paths feels like Craig gets let go and maybe Davidson gets the team option declined?

I agree regarding Kornet.  I don't see why Horford would want to come back and play for this team in what could be his last season.  You can sign Kornet for say $6M and even though BOS would be over the 2nd apron to start the season, they could make a deal at the deadline or along the way (Simons and/or Naing) to get back under.
