I expect Horford and Tatum to sit.

Porzingis should play. He missed the first month of the season and didn?t play all the 4th last night. We need him to play and help some others out too to get breathers

I agree with you that Al will probably sit, but I don't think JT will sit...maybe his minutes will be closer to 30 than last nights 35.

Second thoughts about Tatum...I forgot about his left shoulder strain.  Probably will sit.

Tatum is available, per SI.

I was hoping KP would play since he basically sat the whole 4th quarter last night.

Yeah I'm pretty upset he couldn't suit up. Sure, we should have still won without him tonight, but this team really isn't in a position where they can "surrender" games, they are still battling NY for the 2 seed. Horford already has these games as designated rest, and KP missed the first month of the season and another 2 weeks late December-early January. Just play dude even for like 20 mins

Yuck. Maybe my biggest concern about an upcoming sale is how well new ownership will get along with Brad Stevens.  I?d like the new owners  to be Celtics fans with big, open pockets.  I think that will determine whether Stevens is here for the long term.

Hold your horses...

UPDATE, 12:40 p.m. ET: According to a report from Chris Cotillo of MassLIVE, Fenway Sports Group will NOT be making a run at the Celtics.

According to an industry source, FSG is not involved in the bidding for the Celtics.

This was always the case but there appears to have been an aggregation/story out there with bad info this morning.

The above was from SI.com. Reporting these days is so bad, so who knows.

A good indicator these days is to distrust whatever SI reports.

Don't want John Henry anywhere near this team.  He wouldn't spend an ounce of luxury tax, let alone approach the second apron.

Yeah, Henry and Fenway Sports Group would not be a good fit to run an NBA team.  It is very hard to build a top team without spending.  You can't build through prospects.  OKC is kind of an exception but they were bad for a long time.

Idk if it's injury or fatigue, but Derrick White is broken.

Tonight he had 3 points in 19 minutes and just looked very off. And frankly he's looked off for a while now.

I know Tatum, Brown and others understandably deserve blame and criticism for their own play but I feel White being off has impacted the team the most. He's that guy where if he plays well, the team feeds off it and we're tough to beat. If he's toast though then the team is toast.

Maybe they need to give him a similar "week off" that Jrue got around Christmas Week to rest up and figure it out. Because right now it's just not it. Lowkey feels like Pritchard and even Springer/Walsh for spurts are getting minutes ahead of White in the 2nd half of games too.

What has happened to Drew Peterson?  Last I heard he was dealing with a concussion.  I like his size..6'9"; 3ptshooting..41.6%; and foul shooting...85.7%.  He was playing good defense and taking care of the ball when I last saw him play.

Yeah, that has annoyed me too. I'd like to see Drew Peterson more often instead of those twin tower configurations. It would help us in matchups.

Well he looked broken to start the game last night, airballing from three and missing a five-footer badly - one he can make in his sleep.  But, he recovered and looked like vintage 2023-24 DW.   I definitely do think he needs time off. Heaven forbid he gets selected for the ASG (he won?t).  Regarding Jrue, we were wondering a year ago at this time whether we had ourselves an over the hill Jrue.  But, he came on in the playoffs and was among the most valuable players.
