Cannot believe a defending champion down single digits is not trying everything to come back here, even @ 20 seconds.
Lot of crazy things have happened in the last minute of games in the NBA.

It was crazy. They were broken and gave up at end bad.

Ant

5-16 FGA entering Q4
Finished 6-24 FGA. So 1-8 FGA Q4.

6-24. Wasn't that Kobe's Gm 7 in 2010 Finals?

Well I had Denver vs OKC in the WCF so wrong on both counts.

Minnesota vs Dallas. That will be fun.

Unpopular opinion here, I acknowledge that either of these teams is a threat if we don't play well, but I'm actually more wary of Minnesota's teamwide length and defensive presence than I am of Jokic ripping our offense apart.  The Wolves have the right team composition to put the Jays through hell for a series and I just don't think Denver has that.  Yes, Jokic is a problem, but I don't think that team can stop us.

Yeah, I have gone back and forth on this too. I was impressed by how Minny played against us earlier this season. They matched up well. Their length and athleticism caused us problems.

I like our experience advantage over Minny though.

Eh, I feel like a lot of this is matchup dependent. I think they matchup well with Denver, particularly their defense that can help contain Jokic and his overall impact.

Our offense is much more perimeter oriented with many more weapons and less Jokic-centric, meaning it's more dynamic and hard to guard for them, even with their good perimeter defense.

Additionally, we're a significantly better defense than Denver and have the necessary weapons to limit Minny's limited offense.

Yes, we are more dynamic ............. when we play the right way which is never a given with our 3 brain-dead leaders, JT, JB, Mazzulla.

Lack of experience isn't bothering Minny right now

Obviously.
The bright lights in the finals and the end of a long run is different then the second round. It’s not be all end all but it catches up to a lot of younger teams making there first finals appearance.

Wow did Jokic give up there.

I don't recall ever seeing a team give up like that, down 7 with 33 seconds to go. Jokic bends over and puts his mouthpiece in his sock.

Fully expect this board to be flooded with Minnesota is our worst matchup.  Truth is, the defending champs were the biggest threat. Minnesota can beat Boston, no question. But Denver was fear #1 and they are out.

Assuming KP is back for the finals: The big advantage the C's have over Denver is five out spacing. There's no Aaron Gordon for Gobert to roam off and disrupt the paint. If the cs perimeter players can get past the first line of defense they'll have a chance to score either at the rim or by generating kick outs for 3.

Minnesota's defense is better than the Celtics, but I like the Celtics ability to shut down Denver's offense more than the other way around.
