Jokic is unstoppable. Nobody in the league can defend this guy. Not Gobert, not Bam, not AD, not Wemby. He went through KP like tissue paper when the C's played them.

This is why the Celtics are built the way they are. take a ton of threes, make a ton of threes and hope you can limit Denver's other guys just enough to outscore them. Thats the hope. We'll probably get to see if it works.

If we face Denver in the Finals - which is looking more and more like the inevitability it always was - I think we just have to go single coverage on Jokic, stay as tight as we can on everyone else, and make him put up 50 every night to beat us. We don't have any great answer to defend him, and you're not going to stop him anyways. So let's try and get them out of their rhythm and make Jokic a scorer and take away his playmaking.

And then on the other end I think we just have to beat them from the three point line with a good volume of threes, as well as putting Jokic in a ton of PnRs to create mismatches and make him work on that end.

Feels like that's the only realistic path to beating Denver at this point.

I can't enjoy Jokic because watching Gobert play so soft is infuriating. Minnesota has fallen into the same trap basically everyone does. You don't make Jokic work on defense. Then you try to limit him with a big there no one has to guard. Throw in all the rest of the roleplayers Minnesota has that cannot shoot and then Jokic just grinds them into dust.

Jokic may have the greatest touch of all time. Like he hits flicks these shots up at the rim from impossible angles and they seem to always go it.

Deploy the LeBron 2010 strategy. Cover everyone but LeBron. Let LeBron beat us. Let Jokic beat us. If you can stop Murray, Gordon and MPJ then I think we have a shot at winning the series despite Jokic getting his 40 or 50.
