Lottery takeaways:

1) LOL, Raptors traded the #8 pick for Jakob Poetl.
2) Good day for the Spurs. Moved up from 5 to 4 and got that Toronto pick after it fell from protected 6 to unprotected 8. Interesting to see if they just add young talent or make a trade to bring in more win now help.
3) Poor Pistons, fell from 1 to 5.
4) What does Atlanta do now? They have to trade one of Young or Murray and also have the #1 pick. They could dramatically remake their team.
5) Houston comes out okay. They sent their pick to OKC but the BRK pick they owned ends up #3. Another top three pick BRK traded. Same question with then as SAS, do they pick a guy or use it to bring in win now help.

Poor Pistons fans. Jesus, that's a miserable rooting experience nowadays with little hope.

Can’t imagine being a Detroit fan. Nor a wizards fan. Franchises with no direction

Interesting to see how ATL approaches this. They got the #1 pick, but another way to look at it is, they got a pick that could get them a star immediately via trade. I'd even include someone like Jaylen in that mix though I'd prefer to keep him. They could move on from 1 of Murray/Young, but also use that pick to trade for another young star to pair alongside, they don't have to just take #1

There have been numerous mock trades on this board over the years about trading for Myles Turner.

I don’t understand the hype.

Guys, I can't believe I have to say this but the Boston Celtics are not going to trade Jaylen for a draft pick, not #1 in a weak draft anyway.

They might eventually trade him, maybe even this summer if things go VERY badly in these playoffs (lose this round or next). But it will be for a player or players who help right now if they do, because they aren't waiting 4 years for whomever they draft to be a contributor.

Could Hawks package #1 and Trae Young or Murray to get a superstar?

Could Houston package Jalen Green and #1 to get a superstar?

Will Detroit dangle #5 for veteran help?

Does San Antonion dangle #4 and/or #8 for win now veteran help?

What are these top 10ish picks even worth? Seems like its generally accepted to be a very weak top of the draft, which might make teams more willing to trade these picks. But also does that just crater their value.

A lot of interesting decisions for teams this summer.

Spurs getting 4 & 8 is unreal & better do their homework..Detroit & Washington are 2 of worst teams in NBA & neither got top 3 picks plus the be top 2 next season also..Houston will be in playoffs next season & 3rd pick should help…Brooklyn keeps making dumb trades…Also Portland got 7th & 14th..Atlanta getting Sarr to go along with Capela & Johnson be pretty good frontcourt
