Dallas deserves credit. Good trade deadline moves. Guys who mostly know their roles. And I had my doubts about the Luka-Kyrie pairing but they are making it work beautifully. It's not perfect but still great. And both guys seem to actually be trying hard even on defense and the hustle plays.

I'd be shocked if this series didn't go a full 7.
Dallas getting Washington & Gafford was genius for them

It really was. They surrounded Luka and Kyrie with very athletic players who can play defense. It’s made a huge difference.

Gaffird on a decent team seems like a different guy.  He’s really gives them a presence on D.

They are saying Haliburton may not play today. Ankle and back problems. Game time decision.

was it josh hart? supposedly purposely elbowed him in the back. hope he plays. i want this to go 7.

so if we get to the ECF against the knicks they are tired/beaten with like a 5 man rotation from Thibs

This isn't going 7. Dallas will win in no more than 6

it could go either way. but dallas has beaten them squarely 2 in a row. what happens game 4 will largely determine what happens. I could see dallas win and go up 3-1 and its over. maybe lose in OKC and close the series at home. I also could see OKC win be 2-2, then go up 3-2 with dallas tieing it at 3-3 in dallas to go to a game 7

I think that OKC inexperience vs. the Mavs experience is the difference in this. there is something to say about playoff experience.

Luka is gimpy and yet OKC cant dominate them.

Would be sweet if the Pacers won today and made it 2-2.

If Al continues to log big minutes he’s going to need some time off. Hope Indy-NY goes 7.  But I think that’s looking unlikely especially with Halliburton’s physical troubles.

Important for Cs to win G4 and give themselves a chance to close the series out before the other ECS is over.

I think what hurt us the most yesterday was Al's 3 point shooting. He used to be decent from there but his percentage has gone off a cliff in these playoffs. Teams are leaving him open, and then the Cavs are also attacking him on the pick and roll with Mitchell too.

During the season he shot 41.9% from 3 and like you said he is only shooting 30.3% during the playoffs.  Oof...

Same story as last year. 2023 regular season 44%, playoffs 29%.
I think it’s been a consistent strategy of opposing teams in the playoffs to switch on and attack Al. He expends a lot of energy on defense and his offense suffers for it. You can tell his shot is less relaxed, rushed.

He could use a breather for sure.

Go Pacers! I want this series to go 7 and see these two teams totally worn out before one of them staggers on to the next round

It really matters the least it has of any year in the last 20 years. I am sure someone will end up being an all-star but there is nobody there is a consensus expectation of that. It is one where the 6th or 7th player taken could end up the best. Like last year the first pick is probably worth 5 lottery picks in this draft and there was a pretty clear top 3. The top 3 for this year has changed like 50 times.
