Mac MaClung = 2024 G League MVP

25ppg 51% FG% 40% 3PT% on 6.5 3PTA
6.5apg and 4.6rpg and 1.4spg

Strange that he only gets 3 FTA against 17.5 FGA. Low number particularly for such an athlete. I wonder if that speaks to a lack of ball-handling or explosive quickness. The guy can certainly leap and you'd expect finish in the paint once he gets there.

You'd like to see him get a shot in the NBA. Reports were that he turned down big offers from Europe last summer. Maybe he should go to Europe this time round. He is 25 years old now.

Mavs quietly on a strong run. They were 29-23 at the trade deadline and are 47-30 today. So an 18-7 run over the last two months (59 win pace). Up to 5th in the West standings.

They could finish with a 50 win season if they win 3 of their final 5 games. Looks like their midseason trades have worked out well for them.

Edit: Bucks also 47-30 which is good for 2nd place in the East.

I'll give the Mavericks credit. They've turned it around. Gafford was an excellent addition for them and Doncic-Kyrie are working well together in games. They feel like a sneaky darkhorse in the West. Idk how the bracket and seedings will unfold but call me crazy, I think Dallas is one of probably two teams who have a shot at beating Denver in a series (the other likely being MIN with KAT back).

Good chance it’s different in playoffs but suns have played nuggets tough in recent games also

If Donovan Mitchell stays in Cleveland, they should trade Darius Garland for a wing and let Mitchell be their main ball-handler.

I literally thought this watching their game today. They have to have worst wings in the league

or conversely, they should trade Mitchell this summer

The Knicks and especially Heat make a lot of sense for Mitchell this summer.

I'm sure the Lakers will be rumored as always but I really don't see them being able to outbid teams like NYK/MIA/HOU/BKN in trades. PHI could be a darkhorse spot for him too.

Cavs are better when Mitchell and garland don’t play together

The Miami Heat are not a good team whatsoever

I'm sure the Knicks will be rumored, but they really aren't a good fit with Brunson.  Heat were who I thought made the most sense for themselves, the Cavs, and Mitchell. Lakers probably don't have enough pieces but they to would make sense

WHOA I did not realize. Indiana is only 1 back of the 3 seed   :o

There may still be insane movement for the 3-7 seeds in the East

Pacers now own tie breakers over 76ers, Heat and in a three way tie. The likelihood that its going to be 76ers vs Heat in the 7-8 game skyrockets with that Pacers win.

Its crazy that of Boston, Milawukee, Phili and Miami only two teams (at most) will get out of the first round if the bracket stays like it is now. And two of Clevland, Orlando, NY and Ind will advanced.

Well, after that Heat failure it looks like it’s almost a certainty that the Heat and Philly will play in the play-in, with Philly likely winning and it being a toss up among Miami, Chicago, and Atlanta who will win the 8 seed.

We may end up getting a chance to exercise our Heat demons early this year. May be good for us, though it’s also be funny to see the Heat lose two play-in games and not make the playoffs.
