They host the C’s on the 28th.  It’s the last game of a 5-game road trip with the rest of the games in California.  It has all the markings of a letdown game for us.  They can snap their 27-game losing streak then.

All kidding aside, 8 of the Pistons next 10 games are against teams with winning records.  The record for the longest losing streak in a single season is 26 — Detroit has a real shot at that.

Grizzlies with a rare win, beating the Pistons 116-102.  Bane had 49 points. He was 19-31 from the field, 4-8 from 3pt and 7-7 from the line.

Detroit is paying Monty Williams a lot of money to lose 18 in a row.

Luke Walton had one of the best season-opening records for an NBA head coach ever. I am sure most people would agree Monty Williams is a better head coach than Luke Walton.

I’m actually a Monty Williams fan.  At the same time, I don’t think ownership expected to be on an 8-win pace 25% of the way through the season, especially with Cunningham healthy.  And they made Monty the highest paid coach in the NBA with his deal.

When Cunningham was drafted I was saying I wasn't sold on him and caught so much junk.

Can we have Halliburton do a mini camp for our players on how to NOT turn the ball over? 15 assists to 0 turnovers. Crazy.

I always feel Brook Lopez is going to miss when he sets up to take a clutch 3 point shot.

Hali is a freaking stud. Man, I hope Indy pulls this off and can win this whole thing. Such a fun team to watch.

Halliburton doing the same stuff to the bucks that he did to us.
Looking like a all-nba player right now.   Just has a really amazing ability to beat you in so many ways.

So the Pacers did the same thing to the Bucks that they did to the Celtics. At some point, people have to start taking this Pacers team seriously as a legit threat in the East.

Oh I am rooting for them as well.  Just really easy to like them.   Our old friend A. Nesmith doing really good work on defense too.

It is funny how similar our game vs Indy was vs the Bucks game vs Indy.   Tyrese just with daggers, and he is stepping up exactly when he needs to.

They shot much worse than vs us tonight thugh, 7-33 with the Bucks 12-33. Moral victory?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Eh, they have a long way to go before being truly considered there. They may be able to win this tournament that perfectly fits how they play, but this is much different than the playoffs, where the pace slows and defense is much more important and relied on, especially given the adjustments game to game. They’re also still really young. I think they have another year or two before even in the conversation.

Also, I think it’s clear that Indy values this over other teams and is playing 150% to win it, knowing this is likely the only thing they can win this year to make it successful. Other teams certainly wanted to win, but aren’t playing quite as hard as Indy. I think that changes abd balances out in the playoffs.

Its funny that Haliburton was a -2 and the rest of the starters were a net negative as well, but their bench was all pluses - Nesmith +14, Mathurin +17, Jackson +17, McConnell +9, Nembhard +6
