Feels like the league embarrassed itself awarding Lebron a timeout with the ball rolling around on the floor to end the game last night…

Yeah, his last few years in Portland he was just a slow starter, everyone rushed to say he was declining. then he started playing like Dame again and made all star games, ALL NBA, etc.

Scalabrine was talking about the Lebron timeout and basically said that most refs when Lebron says hay Tom, timeout that the ref is just going to blow the whistle and call timeout in the heat of the moment with the split second reaction. Scal's issue was that there was no way for them to overturn what was clearly an incorrect call.  Basically, what is the purpose of replay and what not, if you can't fix clear errors.

Also, while I was fine without a foul call, Reaves is bumped there. They could have called a foul on the Suns. No call probably the right decision, but there was some contact and he did drop the ball after said contact.

Good game on ESPN between the Spurs and T-Wolves…

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Vassell having another good shooting game. His TS% is up at 62.5% after being only 54-55% the previous two years. I was not sold at the money San Antonio gave him but he has started the season well.

Wow, Dallas just beat Utah by 50.

Some of these scores and point differentials are ridiculous nowadays because of the 3 pointer.

Grizzlies with a rare win, beating the Pistons 116-102.  Bane had 49 points. He was 19-31 from the field, 4-8 from 3pt and 7-7 from the line.

This is a long winded way of saying “yeah the refs screwed up.”

Detroit is paying Monty Williams a lot of money to lose 18 in a row.

Yup when we beat Indy by 50 we shot 20-35 from 3, Indy shot 5-37...that's basically 45 more points in 3s we scored. In this game Dallas shot 22-49, Utah 12-33, so that's 30 more points in 3s. Utah turning the ball over 19 times probably didn't help with those transition 3s

Luke Walton had one of the best season-opening records for an NBA head coach ever. I am sure most people would agree Monty Williams is a better head coach than Luke Walton.

He must not be very good at calling timeouts.

I’m actually a Monty Williams fan.  At the same time, I don’t think ownership expected to be on an 8-win pace 25% of the way through the season, especially with Cunningham healthy.  And they made Monty the highest paid coach in the NBA with his deal.
