I’m really looking forward to the majority of the national media picking Dallas. This will be fun watching them eat it.

It's already happening.  I love being underdogs.  It's shades of 2008.

Yup. If it’s not our year I don’t know if it’ll ever be. Every single thing has gone our way and a matchup against the mavericks in the finals? With them as the favorites? Lol. Can’t envision a better scenario

celtics actually match up well wtih the mavs which is why they've beat them twice in the regular season. NBA is a game of matchups. its how the wolves can beat Denver but lose to mavs. its how Denver would've demolished the mavs in 4-5 games.

they can throw white/jrue on kyrie. and Brown/tatum on luka. Brown did a very good job defending luka in the regular season.

on the offensive side, i'm not sure who they have to stop Tatum/brown. Brown had his way with Luka during the regular season. this isn't taking into account KP or or other options who can score with White/jrue

Funnily enough the Wolves beat Dallas 3-1 in the regular season...maybe that was prior to the trade deadline?

I think we would have to be favorites and deservedly so, just wouldn't be counting our chickens too soon (assuming both teams make the finals)...people who think it's going to be a walkover might be getting an unpleasant surprise when the games end up much more tightly contested than expected. Especially when our biggest opponents will be ourselves, more so than the Mavs

absolutely

i expect close highly contested games much like we had with the nets 2 years back.

and instead of us sweeping i can easily see the mavs taking two from us at the end because of cryrie and luka dropping daggers in us. C's in 6.

I got Cs in 6 too  I feel like we will lose Game 2 and Game 4 or 5

its pretty simple why Minnesota is losing. their two stars are shrinking in the biggest moments and playing like garbage. honestly thats all it comes down to this time of the year.

KAT is shooting 34% and 16% from 3. if your #2 is doing that its going to be hard to win. ANT isn't exactly shrouding himself in glory either. but I doubt the media will give him the same grief Tatum got for his abysmal finals series that haunts him to this day.

66 points from Kyrie/luka vs. 40 from KAT/ANTman

somehow I doubt Tatum/brown will play as bad.
Young teams need to go through a couple of playoff cycles before they figure out how to win the tight games.  And that goes for the coaches too. Minnesota's not ready yet and neither was OKC. Finch has performed as poorly as KAT in this series.

That was brutal. Hope there’s no lingering issues. Never want to mess around with the head and neck.

At the very least, hopefully Minnesota can take 1, maybe 2 more games and extend that series a little.

If no one gets hurt, is that really better? I mean, isn't it better for them to have over a week off as well instead of 4 days? They'd be more used to playing, but still have plenty of time off to reat.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Maybe, but on the flip side if you have them play more heavy minutes and risk injuries that could also affect things

I mean Lively yesterday was practically ragdolled out there and is dealing with a neck injury now.

I need for the wolves to at least make this a 3-2 series

Well now we see if Minnesota can extend the WCF.

Anthong Edwards in the
First 8 Playoff Games: 67.3% True Shooting with a 32.1/6.5/5.6 slash line.
Last 6 Playoff Games: 49.3% True Shooting with a 21.2/6.8/7.3 flash line.

His scoring has just completely evaporated the last 6 games, and its killing the Wolves right now.
