Lol Jokic is so smart. He purposefully wastes game clock time by grabbing the ball, slowly making his way to the baseline, bumps into his own player, throws it to the ref to check the ball, and then just rolls it inbounds.

Why in some circles are the Celtics considered a “super team” and a team like the nuggets aren’t? They have the best player in the world and several high level players at every position with good size and all in their prime. Gonna have to play all time special to beat them.

While he is the best player in the world the nuggets only have one player that has made an all star game (unless we count deandre Jordan). The Celtics have 4 including 4 that were under consideration. It’s not really difficult.

The Celtics also won more games and had double the point differential. Denver at +5.3 points per game. Boston +11.4 points per game.

And yet both times we played them they schooled us.
Look I know we had a better regular season but with all things considered I think their talent is every bit as good/better.
Jaylen brown likely is never an all star in the west and Murray surely would’ve been by now in the east…those arguments don’t carry much weight for me

You are being willfully naive.

And I think the same of you, time will tell and hopefully you’re right but I’d still trade where we are at for being the defending champions and where they’re at with the best player in the world but alright

Lakers are too old. Similar to last year, they start off hot and playing well, but as the game goes on they clearly get fatigued and lose their way. Hard to beat a good team like Denver like that.

Interesting note from the opening day - even with as much supposed parity as there is this year (outside of Boston and the rest of the East), the top seed won every game today.

Best we can hope for is they make Denver play big minutes for their starters.

I would prefer we were defending champs too but that doesn’t have anything to do with your question. Which, if serious, was being willfully naive. Porzingas and white were both on the border for being all stars this years and on many peoples ballots. Holidays and porzingas have both made all star games with other teams. Holiday has made all defensive teams all. White probably will this year. The Nuggets have a lot of talent but anyway you measure it we have more talent right now (and I haven’t even talked about our benches where you get into comparing Al Horford against Deandre jordan). I hope you are smart enough to not bark up that tree.

I'd feel better had we won a game against them this year. However, both games could've gone either way. We were not out classed in either game. The key to beating them is JT showing up. He does that as 18 is assured. That's the only ? If we face them in June.

These Lakers-Nuggets games always follow the same script. Lakers start of well, shoot well, Nuggets at times look like deers in headlight, but then 2nd half they just flip the switch and know how to close. Feeling the same tonight. Nuggets are missing a bunch of very open looks too.

Followed the script

Oh they could absolutely beat us in a series. They have a much better coach. But in terms of talent the question of why we are considered more talented is pretty silly. Just open the players pages on Wikipedia

Jokic is significantly better than Tatum
Murray is imo equal to brown despite personal all star selection accolades
Combination of porter jr and Aaron Gordon are equal to if not better than jrue and white currently
I suppose the difference maker  is porzingis but does that really make up for the significant gap between Jokic and Tatum?

White, Jru and KP are better than anyone on the other side. Jokic is the only advantage besides coaching they have. No one is picking Murray over Brown.....

You are so dug in on a bad point you stopped making sense. You said Murray would have made the all star game in the East and brown wouldn’t in the west, but brown literally made all nba and is 50 50 to make it this year from the votes coming in. Murray never has and isn’t in the conversation this year either. You think the nuggets could beat us? That is fine. Just say that though and stop saying nonsense that is objectively wrong.

Jaylen brown isn’t making the all star game in the west.
Jamal Murray is making it in the east.
I’m a huge brown fan but like cmon I can’t take you seriously.
