Denver have a great starting 5 but they have no bench. They are like the 1988 Celtics.

Why did it take so long for Denver to go to the Jokic/ Murray pick and roll?

What a play by Jamal Murray!

And then LeBron does that. Sheesh.

That was an entertaining half. Denver didn't play well but they are just relentless. They've missed so many wide open 3s but if some of them start going down, LAL will get overwhelmed. It's the same kind of script with these two teams over the last past two seasons

Lakers could have a chance. They played DEN tough last year despite D Russell being a complete no-show. If he shows up this time round, LAL could give them a run.

And Denver are worse this year with Bruce Brown leaving.

Bit weird to mention losing brown but not mention losing Schroeder and being without vanderbilt unless you are like the biggest dinwiddie or Vincent fan in the world

Did they play well against Denver last year?

I forget.

Looking at their stats, they were not impressive. Stats do not always capture Vanderbilt but he only played 13.5mpg with 2ppg and 1.3rpg. Schroder played big minutes at 31mpg but only 7ppg and 3apg on 45% TS%. It does not look like either one played an important role in that series.

Nuggets hitting 3s now. Tie game. If they can make a run, all the pressure on LAL

Vanderbilt is a specialist as a perimeter defender. I’m not as high on him as some but he is absolutely useful in situations against Murray and a real loss. Schroeder is a much better defender than Russell or dinwiddie in my opinion. Braun has also developed a bit and offset some of what they lost with brown. Like I said just pointing out the nuggets loss and not the lakers is a bit silly. Maybe Vincent will prove to be a great perimeter defender but he isn’t doing so much so far (which was their problem last year)

It is amazing the calls that the Lakers get. No wonder their disparity in free throws taken versus given up is so skewed.
