It motivates them and they go on a winning binge the second half of the season.
We have to watch a nauseating locker room celebration after they win their 18th title while Anthony Davis talks about the in-season tournament being the key factor that turned around their season and drove them to the championship. I make plans to move out of the country.

They spend the rest of the season celebrating and Davis, once again, loses any consistent intensity while Lebron falls in love with his 32-foot step-backs while focusing more on his son's draft status than the Lakers record. The seasons deteriorates into a disappointing failure. All is well.

Draymond ejected for another flagrant penalty 2 after winding up and whacking Nurkic across the face.  What a shocker.

Clearly that suspension taught him so much.  He's completely out of control.

“I think we’re starting to figure out that we can score if we space the floor properly," Williams said. "I’m learning how to use certain guys on the team."

Williams referenced the team utilizing rookie wing Ausar Thompson more as a screener and roller. Williams also talked about the spacing that Alec Burks and Jaden Ivey provided the team.

"As much as this losing hurts all of us… it hurts like you can’t believe, I still see a lot of growth and I’m encouraged by some of the things I saw tonight," Williams said. "Now we’ve got to try to build on it and get to a place where we have the lead, keep the lead, and close.”
