Was a little hesitant in dealing Timelord to make it happen, but you know what.  That's what it takes to get a big deal done. You hear that Danny Ainge and Pat Riley.

They didn't want Horford.  Rob is 25 on a fantastic cost controlled contract for 3 years. If he has a healthy season his value will skyrocket.

And to see how fast Brad has found somewhat suitable replacement for Timelords 20 mpg. This trade was a No Brainer. Mind you he picked up porzingis already a big upgrade over Rob on when you figure a 2 way big and Zinger was 8th in the league at 1.5 bpg.

We also have six bigs on the roster now. Horford,  Zinger, Gabriel,  Kornet,  Queta, and Kelly. We have three shooters off the bench Prichard,  Hauser, Svi and defensive minded Jordan Walsh, Lamar Stevens, Brissett.

Also Blanton a 6'7" defensive PG. Just a fantastic mix of players when you consider we have the best Top 6 in basketball.

This is the type of trade Ainge would not have made. He always tried to have his cake and eat it too with having vet all-star caliber guys plus promising young players and picks. If you want to contend, you have to pick a direction and go all-in, exactly as Stevens is doing. Also all those second rounders Brad got on draft night as he kept trading back are going to come in very handy now as trade assets to round out this roster.

Tp. Agreed. You can't build a championship team now and have all your assets lined up later, just doesn't work that way.  Too many good teams.
