These lists are interesting. It is a perspective, worth considering, but by no means definitive or absolute.
So Tatum makes first team All-NBA but is 7th on this list. It is hard to argue with the list, all the top 7-8 are great players. But I question Durant over Tatum. Durant has not been better than Tatum for about 2 seasons. Why project him as being better than Tatum next season? Seems like he is being rewarded for past performance. So is Tatum top 5 or top 10? What does it matter is my question.
As to Brown, I like Brown better than some of those in the say 15-25 range. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are kind of like Durant. Based on the last couple of seasons, how can you project that they are going to stay on the court and play better than Brown this coming season? Then you have the cluster of other young'ish players, Trae, Ja, Fox, Murray, Haliburton, even Edwards who in my mind are not all definitively better than Brown in terms of projecting next season. So top 20, top 25, whatever.
For Porzingis, relative to other bigs, of course Jokic, Giannis, and Embiid are the top guys, but they have all of the following ahead of Porzingis:
Davis
Adebayo
Zion
Jackson, Jr.
Draymond
Siakam
Sabonis
Towns
Mobley
Markkanen
Then Porzingis and Brook Lopez at 49 and 50. I see that as kind of the floor for Porzingis. I would much rather have Porzingis than Lopez, I don't see them as equal at all, and I think Porzingis will outplay some if not many of those they have ahead of him. It is a hard call as some of those "bigs" are coming off injuries and may bounce back, may not.
For the rest of the Celtics, White, Brogdon, Williams, and Horford (who should not be that far out of the top 100), whatever. Top 100 is a nice place to be with our 4-7 players
