I didn't see this mentioned since I saw it last night. Old friend Brandon Hunter passes at only 42.

That's terrible news.  42 is way too young.

He was an '03 guy.

Sad news to wake up to. Tough player, excellent rebounder.

Sorry to hear that, yes way too young.

I always liked Brandon Hunter. He was part of a string of undersized power forwards from that era of the Celtics but I had hopes he would overcome that.

I remember him as that generation's Jordan Mickey (fan hype/adoration) but with Semi Ojeleye muscles.  I recall several fans at whatever message board I was on at the time (AOL I think) very upset that the team lost him in the expansion draft (the rules are so unfair that the C's can lose a great prospect like Hunter for nothing!).  Not going to lie though, he was a guy I was definitely excited for and rooted for too.

Oh. I actually thought he was already dead.

I wonder why I thought he was dead already.

Could've been heat stroke.  I remember Marion Barber died during a workout.  He liked to work out in the heat and apparently he jacked up the heat in his house in the middle of a heat wave and collapsed.

RIP he was a physical specimen.

I recalled the 2003  combine in he did 25 bench reps which is strong for an NBA guy

he seemed like a good guy, terrible news

i had tickets to see the celtics when they played the wizards down here in DC way back in the day, great seats, only a few rows up from the court and i couldnt believe how huge he was.  i convinced myself we found a potential diamond in the rough with him, but i was wrong, just like with jr bremer.
