If this is true it may just be the GOAT of firings.  Certainly immediate induction into the HOF of firings.

McDaniels will 100% come back to the Pats next season in some role. The Pats love those coaches who have been here before AND are getting paid by other teams still

I was amazed that McDaniels got another chance at head coaching after his unsuccessful Denver stint. It also kinda baffles me when people don't see what seems obvious to me: McDaniels is not a good head coach. Like, he should never get another NFL head coaching job. But he probably will. And he'll probably fail again.

I’m not surprised McDaniels got another shot.  It had been over a decade and he had continued success as a coordinator in the intermediary period — it was rational to suspect he might be more prepared for his second head coaching job than his first.  Didn’t work out that way, but also 1.5 years is about the mean stint with the Raiders over the past 20 years.

I think part of the problem with the Patriots coaching tree is that Belichek has made a lot of enemies around the league, and his assistants walk into a lot of hostile situations.  I’m a Denver fan, and McDaniels had no chance there — the fans hated the hire, and there were a lot of people in the organization who had continued loyalty to Shanahan.  It’s a cutthroat business, and the knives were out for McDaniels from Day 1 because of his Patriots affiliation.  Not sure what happened in Vegas, but the owner there has zero patience, so that didn’t help.

YIKES, disastrous end to the half for the Dolphins there. Down 21-0 now to KC

The criticism will exist for Miami that they can't beat the great teams if they lose this. All their wins have been to terrible teams, which yes it pains me to say as a Pats fan too that's seen them lose to MIA twice

Tua is a fraud. Can't handle the pass rush. If his A+ receiving core isn't getting instant separation he is screwed.

Fins made it a game in end losing 21-14.

Ravens looked amazing again today.  Just whipped the Seahawks 37-3.  OBJ with his 1st TD as a Raven,  came in garbage time with Huntley at QB.

Watson back for the Browns and he played well and looked healthy.  With their defense if they get even competent QB play they are going to be tough to beat.

Eagles and Cowboys tied early and Bengals Bills should be a great Sunday nighter and is almost a must win for the Bengals given their position in the North at the moment.

Cowboys lose to Eagles. Looks like the Eagles are still forreals.

Eagles look primed to get the 1 seed again. Feels like another Niners-Eagles rematch is brewing.

Niners? Idk anymore about them, they dropped 3 straight and Purdy getting exposed pretty bad.

Hate to say it, today's Cowboys/Eagles matchup may be a preview of the NFCCG

Bills @ Bengals primetime. The last time these two teams squared off in Cincinnati, the game was canceled due to a freak injury from Demar Hamlin. He's sitting out tonight.

Now Bengals are up 21-7 over the Bills. Seems like Cincy has turned their season around after that albatross start of season.
