If the Falcons don't hire Belichick, he might just have to sit out 2024 or find a brief TV gig like Payton did. I don't see anyone else who would take him. Washington won't. Doubt Buffalo fires McDermott even though I think they should. Seahawks probably want Vrabel badly and they let go of Carroll who is similar age-wise to Belichick. Outside of that there are no other openings. Maybe in 2025, a few more open up like Dallas, Philly, Jacksonville, etc. but for now this is it.

Looks like the Panthers job is getting filled.  Good luck to this guy with that absolute scumbag of an owner.

A surprise! The #Panthers are closing in on a hire: It’s #Bucs OC Dave Canales as their new head coach, sources say. A first-time coordinator, his work in Tampa this year — especially with Baker Mayfield — stood out.

On to Bryce Young.

Yeah, Tepper is definitely bottom-3 owner in the NFL, along with Bidwill in Arizona and probably a third one I should be able to think of but can’t remember of the top of my head.

Irsay.

He was where my mind went to first, but I wasn’t sure if I was forgetting someone else, like Tepper and Bidwill, who are both terrible human beings and have consistently terrible on-field results.  Irsay’s teams at least win sometimes, but man is he someone I hope to never be within a thousand feet of.

Spanos & the Haslem family should be in the discussion.

Snyder leaving certainly left a giant void at the bottom.

Fun fact:  lots of billionaires who buy sports teams to feed their egos are terrible people.  There are probably some genuinely good people among them, but it's probably not a group overall that I'd elect to chill with.  Even the "cool" owners (or former owners) like Mark Cuban seem like they could do a hell of a lot better.

He has been surprisingly natural and funny in a few moments like Scar’s HOF ceremony as well as when he was on College Gameday for the Army-Navy game

Oh and btw, Atlanta hired Morris as HC. So barring a major change looks like Belichick will not be a HC in 2024 at least

ABC used him way back in the day for their Super Bowl XL ( Seahawks-Steelers) coverage.  I remember him being pretty good.

I'm going with KC in a tight game. I haven't seen a reason to bet against Mahomes so far in his short career.
