Honestly even if Bass hit that, KC would have definitely driven down the field 30-40 yards for a game winning FG with 1:40 left.

That was a terrible miss by Josh Allen, he had him open in the end zone. It also felt like the Bills were content with a field goal in the final minutes which makes zero sense when the opponent is Mahomes

Bills are truly cursed. If they couldn’t beat this KC team at home they probably never will

Can't blame OT rules here huh. Can't blame non-neutral field now. Bills are like the little brother, always trying to beat the big brother Chiefs but they can't.

Bills have peaked. Need a major overhaul. Keep Allen obviously but everything else should be up for discussion.

2nd year in a row Bills lost at home in playoffs..Bengals blew them out last year & KC beat them, Bills defense couldn’t stop Burrow & Mahomes..defense needs major upgrade first

Isn't McDermott supposed to be the genius on the defensive side of the ball? Certainly hasn't looked like it. Bills are 45M over the cap and barely have weapons. Who even knows if Diggs is staying there, but he seems to have regressed as well. Their window was 2022-2024. They'll still be a playoff team in all likelihood with Josh Allen but idk if they'll be Super Bowl threats much longer.

Also, that's a team that should be looking at Belichick to instill fundamentals, shore up the defense and let Joe Brady + maybe another guy (Josh McDaniels) work on the offense with Josh Allen.

That Von Miller contract is horrific.

Imagine being a Buffalo fan that shoveled all those days at the stadium only to see your team lose to the Chiefs again anyways

On a side note, watching some of the reactions of both triumph and grief particularly from Bills and Lions fans really puts it all into perspective. Even with how mediocre the Pats have been lately, I will never take for granted the dynastic run they had during my childhood through high school-college. Don't remember the first two SBs as I was only like 3-4 years old but I've still seen 4 since (from 2005 onwards). And watching Brady win another with Tampa was cool, even if it wasn't with the Pats. Sad it's over, but happy it happened obviously.

Everyone remembering the potential Superbowl rematch of SF/BAL, but almost forgetting about the Superbowl rematch of SF/KC.

Please no more KC. That being said, DET/BAL Superbowl would be fun. And Detroit winning it all as well.

Is Patrick Mahomes the GOAT?

Mad Dog from First Take has cemented him as such. Thoughts?

And that is why it's important that KC get ousted this Sunday or else we'll never hear the end of it.

It's a hot take on a hot take driven show used to elicit reaction.

Which it did.

Mahomes and Rodgers are the only active players even in the conversation, and they need to fill airtime with this kind of stuff.

Obviously Mahomes is not the GOAT today, but he's the only QB with a realistic shot of getting there in the next 10-15 years. He has a pretty strong argument for best 6 year start ever, albeit with exquisite timing given the state of passing in the NFL. But the stats are there.

All he has to do is average 4500 yards and 30 touchdowns for 15 more years, plus win a few Super Bowls and bam, he's Tom Brady =)! Well, until you adjust for the era and receivers... maybe he needs 100,000 yards and 700 TDs to lock in down. That's how ridiculous it will be for anyone to clearly exceed Brady. Wow.

Mahomes is terrific. I think anyone who thinks his career is anywhere near Brady’s is trying hard to diminish Brady.  It isn’t close. That said, best qb over a short period of time? - there are a number of candidates.  If you take Brady at his absolute best and compare him to Peyton, Montana, Mohomes, Marino, others at their absolute best, you can argue all night legitimately. For a career, Brady is the GOAT and it’s silly to consider anyone else.

I don’t think another SB win for Mahomes puts him in the discussion but I understand that Brady doubters would be empowered.  Nonetheless, I prefer Mahomes to Harbaugh so I’ll root for KC on Sunday and the Lions (hah!) in the SB.

If Mahomes wins a Super Bowl this year, that may be comparable to one of Brady's 3 Hall of Fame careers. Really, Brady was so amazing that you can break his career to 3 parts and Mahomes would be catching up to one of those parts.

Longevity and sustaining of excellence is gonna be the issue with Mahomes.  He's still only 28 years old.

What's his 30s gonna look like?

What's his 40s gonna look like?

Will KC be able to revamp around him like New England did after Dynasty 1.0?

How will Mahomes health?

Will he want to play til his mid 40s?

So many unknowns right now but one known is that crowning him GOAT right now is asinine.

I find it odd that many (and not necessarily on here, but in the media) of the people arguing for Brady because of longevity have the opposite argument when arguing against Lebron.  Not exactly the same since Brady does have 7 SB wins (and just 3 losses - 2nd most all time), but still a bit strange to me.  Mahomes has definitely had the higher peak individually and the best start to a career ever, but he has several more high level seasons to go before anyone can start seriously considering it.
