Honestly, reading some comments, I’d think this was a Lakers or Yankee’s forum.

Bill Belichick has won 6 super bowls for the Patriots. If you asked a Pats fan in the 90’s they would die happy for one.

Belichick has 8 Super Bowl rings in his career. When Brady went down in first game of the 2008 season, with Matt Cassel the Patriots went 11 - 5, tied first in the AFC east and missing the playoffs due to a tiebreaker.

After the deflategate fiasco, the team went 3–1 with backup quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacob Brissett during Brady's suspension.

Belichick found & developed Brady, giving him the opportunity that no one else would have. Go back and watch the early 00’s Patriots teams, Brady wasn’t the star of the show. It was Belichick and his defensive stars.

After Drew Bledsoe returned from his injury in 2001 everyone else would have put Bledsoe back as the starting quarterback, especially because the organization recently paid him a $103 million contract.

IMO, Belichick’s biggest issue is the pilfering of his staff from other franchises and the NFL making defence much less effective and quarterbacks untouchable.

Will Belichick need to be replaced in the future? Of course, he’s 71 going on 72. But there’s no need to hate on the man that turned the Patriots into the third most valuable sports team in the world.

Nobody is doubting his accomplishments. We can be thankful for what he's done and respect his great career, and also recognize that it's time for him to hang it up. Both can be true. His time has come and gone, this franchise is in a downward spiral right now and I don't see him in touch enough with the current state of the NFL to turn this around.

Belichick has had washed up Cam Newton & Mac Jones since Brady left. In my opinion, he needs an all pro quarterback to compete again.

Given Josh McDaniels has been fired from the Raiders, he will hopefully return as the Patriots offensive coordinator & QB coach.

I don’t want McDaniels back. He has no idea what to do in the red zone.

No one lives in the past better than Patriots fans. It’s over people. Time to move on. Nothing is going to change with this organization until Bill his kids and his cronies are swept otta here. Plain and simple. Deny it if you wish but deep down inside you know I’m right. Happens to everybody. Hopefully the Kraft’s get it. But I’ll believe it when i see it.

Was Brady Brady in the early years?
Yes. When the Pats needed a drive, Brady delivered time and time again.

Well he's the guy who builds the roster too. It's all on him.

This is the biggest indictment on him...he built this roster. He can't even blame other people for building it. It was easier to build a roster in the past because you had the GOAT quarterback to make up for mistakes, and he kept taking haircuts on his salary to help the team overall, because he could make decent players become great. Bill no longer has that that luxury in team but he keeps building his team as if he does, letting players go before they have to get paid and making do with mediocrity expecting that "the Patriot Way" will turn them into stars outperforming their contracts. Turns out you need a GOAT quarterback to do all that.

None of this takes away from what Bill has achieved in the past, but we're 3 years into the new era and they are getting worse not better.

74 yr old Pop guided the Spurs to a 22 win season last year and the number 1 pick.  71 yr old Bill should let his team end the season with 2 wins and the Pats may be in line for a top 3 pick.

Remaining schedule

IND (in Germany)
@NYG
LAC
@PIT
KC
@DEN
@BUF
@NYJ

I see a couple of wins in there.   Don't think they'll be bad enough to bottom out and lose every remaining game.

I think they're bad enough to lose every remaining game. Doesn't mean they will, but I think they have that ability.

Of course, they might go and screw things up with a fluke win or two, but at this point I'm hoping they lose out.

Pats lost to the Saints, Raiders, and Commanders so I think they'll be bad enough to lose out. Including @Giants and @Denver.

I'm hoping we tank to secure a top pick, but doubt that we will, or that the top QBs will prove to be awesome. I think Williams and Maye are a bit over-rated, and not ready to contribute for a while.

I agree with you 💯

I don’t watch that much college football, but I’ve been enamoured with JJ McCarthy for a while. McCarthy is the guy I want the Pats to take in 2024.

I think in modern football, people have become too obsessed with quarterbacks that run. I have always been of the opinion that elite pocket passers win championships.

Well, he’s going to have no time to throw, so he better learn to run.  :laugh:

What a load of baloney- this past week, Bill Belichick said the personnel folks work the trade deadline and further stated that he doesn't have time to both coach and scout/personnel. So, you telling me that the guy who has total control of team football operations is now trying to say he is not responsible for the players on the team.

He needs to go asap.

Also Ben Volin stated that if Bill doesn't win next week against Indy, then Kraft will fire him and promote Jerod Mayo as interim coach for the final seven games.

Plz just lose to Indy.

I’m rooting for the Pats to lose just for his obviously false statement to be demonstrated.
