Okay that last INT was literally 100% on the receiver.

It's not just a Mac problem even though he's sucked too. The entire team is imploding right now (defense, special teams, offense, coaching, etc.)

This is going to be a rough decade for the Pats. They are in their “90’s Celtics” phase.

It doesn't have to happen that way though. They could trade Belichick to the Chargers or Bengals for a 7th round pick and have Mayo take over tomorrow with Zappe as their QB. Lose every game, get Caleb, and start over. They will be like Jacksonville in three years.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

What they need is a real GM. They need someone who can truly evaluate talent and not waste 1st round draft picks. There is no way Belichick can or should survive this. Fire him. Bring in a GM who knows how to roster build. Tank and get high draft picks. Spend your $100 mil in cap space on difference makers.

It's past time for Belichick to go.

Convince me that they are not the worst team in the NFL?

Belicheck has lost the locker room, the QB is broken and the overall talent level is just not there for an NFL team.

I was low on this team coming in to the season, i had them at 7 wins, and they are even worse than I was expecting.

The New England Patriots were outscored 72-3 in the last two games. Including a big egg at home.

If this isn't enough to get Belichick fired idk what will.

Yep.

Fire Belichick. And start tanking.

It’s sad, but it seems Mac Jones’ confidence is completely broken. That’s a death sentence for a quarterback.

Robert Kraft has some difficult decisions to make in the next 6-9 months.

I have one eye on J.J. McCarthy.

Even though this team looks done…I can’t fathom a world where Bill Belichick ends the season in last place. Thus I think Caleb Williams or even Drake Maye will be out of reach for the Pats.

Yep.

Fire Belichick. And start tanking.

I'm not convinced firing Belichick will do anything for this season. That seems reactionary and emotional.

I don't think they need to tank. They are getting smoked while pretending to care. Start Zappe, play as many young, hungry guys as possible, and Caleb can be had without tanking.

He won't get fired in-season. But there's no way if they finish 6-11 or worse (which seems likely) that he deserves another season. And at that rate, it'll take him another two seasons after this to reach Shula's record. Enough. This team is about to become a joke soon and fans will start to lose interest and not attend games if they already haven't. The team has been pretty boring for a while now too.

It might sound like a hot take and emotional, but go on social media now. And even the national media has been discussing all this over the past week. Same with the commentators in today's broadcast. Belichick is getting pansted pretty regularly including on primetime games. That was a "supposed advantage" but that's no longer the case. Teams look at the Pats now as a "get right game" and at Belichick as "just another guy" and past his prime

Totally agree on the above. It's bad enough that Gillette has become a Trump rally. It's now a quiet Trump rally.

I went to the first game against Philly where the GOAT came out at the half and made a couple of us go nuts. In a tightly contested fight against a good team in the 4th quarter, Gillette was quiet. People don't seem to care that much. I guess a hangover effect is natural, but I'm still surprised by the apathy.

So you simultaneously want to fire Belichick for losing games, yet wish the Pats keep losing games so we get a better pick? You realise that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

How about we keep Bill, keep losing, and give him another generational QB prospect?

Bill Belichick's presser was weak, again. This guy's mumbles have never been so cryptic. Undecipherable grumbling. One word responses that don't even begin to answer the question, let alone demonstrate any type of accountability for his two worst losses back to back. I've always loved BB for the joy that he and TB12 brought to this region for decades. I think Bob Kraft should have a meeting and suggest that maybe he should start answering questions, though I don't think even Kraft can make my favorite Scrooge do anything he doesn't want to do.
