Well the defense was good for the most part.  The offense’s inability to ice the game with a first down was frustrating.

One of the least inspiring wins I've ever seen. And the Pats will start the season 1-3 instead of 0-4. Can you tell I'm excited?

Probably the least convincing win I've ever seen. You give that Jets team an average QB, we 100% lose. A win is a win, which we needed desperately, but we got to play better.

They had a moral victory in week 1 and moral loss in week 3.

Giving up 24 to the Dolphins in week 2 looking better today.

No, not a lot to get excited about. Though I’m higher on Mac than you.

You are, and there's nothing wrong with that. I wish I knew Bill's complete thoughts and plans re: Mac—Does he really think Mac is the long-term answer? Can Mac throw downfield and Bill's just not letting him? If Mac can only be a game-manager type, why hang on to him?

PHEW!

I'll take the win. Defense is still elite IMO. Philly and Miami are just loaded, just see how they've looked against other teams (MIA put up 70 today). And they held them to 12 and 24 respectively.

Offense is still a concern, especially the O-Line. That was an awful performance in the 2nd half. Countless times to put a game away and they couldn't. Had to rely on the defense and Zach Wilson's ineptitude. I'm also not sure why on 3rd and shorts we're running these deep passes or wheel routes. Huh??? Bill O'Brien needs to make better calls, or maybe they don't have the personnel to do so?

I'm not saying we have to chuck the ball 40+ yards deep every other time to have success, but it's pretty obvious we don't have the receivers to do it. Even when Mac is on point, they are either well covered or can't make a play. The play action is lethal, but again, can't do that much when the O-Line is struggling and run game isn't going either as a result. I'm already starting to think Cole Strange is in bust category. Not great and also injured fairly often.

I just worry against better teams, when we are in these situations late where we need to have a play on 3rd down, can we execute? Didn't cost us today but it very well could in the future. 3rd and shorts and the playcalls are bad. But even earlier in the quarter, we were just running up the middle for a yard or two and setting up 3rd and longs and being predictable again.

Probably because we're down a handful of CBs

I'm really impressed that we were able to get some coverage sacks/forced throwaways today given how depleted the secondary is. It really says a lot about Gonzales and our post-McCourtey safety situation
I'm bitter.

Even if we lose next week, we'll be in the mix. Why?

Look around the league, especially the AFC. Upsets everywhere. Only 1 team remains undefeated in the entire AFC and that is Miami. Bengals might be toast already at 0-2 and with Burrow probably out for some time. Jags, Ravens, Chargers, Steelers, etc. look shaky. New England does too, but again, that's why they'll remain in the mix. Long season to go.

NE's schedule does open up too after next week. New Orleans, @Vegas, Bills, @Dolphins, Commanders, Colts. Bills + Dolphins may be losses but the other 4 are all winnable, and DEN + NYJ look like wins late in the season too. Then need to hope we can take at least 2 out of 3 against NYG/LAC/PIT (or maybe all of them). It's big though that they didn't fall to 0-3 or 0-4.

The offense sucks so badly it's hard to tell whether Mac is part of the problem or part of the solution. If BB wants to keep his job he should trade for some offensive help so we can see.

For sure losing to Dallas next week after dropping a dud to Arizona today. This anemic offense survived against the Jets (which we all hoped they did), but against the number 1 defense in the league IDK.

I don’t think it’s a given that the Cowboys win. They just got their ass kicked by the Cardinals and Diggs is out for the year.

Nothing's a given in the NFL, but I don't think the Cowboys will play that badly two consecutive weeks.

I had planned to make the joke to my Jets friends that if we were losing to them at some point, I would be watching Drake Maye highlights instead of the game.

That win didn't really do anything to change my feelings. Our defense is legit, and our offense SEEMS more competent than last year. It just isn't good.

I enjoyed watching Garrett Wilson v. Christian Gonzalez. I think we may have a true blue chip 20 year old CB prospect. He is awesome.
