Man, I wish we could've gotten E Gordon instead of Phoenix. He would have been perfect of our bench.

Now Patty Mills is heading to OKC. Not Memphis. As part of a larger deal with Houston. Woj reporting.

Victor Oladipo and Patty Mills are two nice veteran 3rd stringers to have to help teach your young guys how to win in the NBA. Good lot of knowledge there for SGA, J Giddey and Cason Wallace to soak up.

Justin Holiday has gone to Denver. Woj.

He didn't make much of an impact in Dallas last season. Or Atlanta before that.

Oh, Denver did not have Reggie Jackson's bird rights so they had to give him the taxpayer MLE.

So they are down to veteran minimum contracts to fill the rest of their bench.

Do they still have the bi-annual exception?

Charlotte got a lot of forwards

F - Brandon Miller, Oubre, Cody Martin, Hayward
F - Miles Bridges, PJ Washington

6 rotation caliber forwards. Well, 5 and a half - half a season Hayward.

Their backcourt is funny looking

G - Terry Rozier
G - LaMelo Ball, Nick Smith Jr, Amari Bailey

I suppose it is not too bad. Just needs a quality backup PG.

Those two small SGs alongside LaMelo Ball. And Rozier a scoring PG. I wonder if they will use Nick Smith Jr or Amari Bailey as their backup PG. It is the balance of that I found odd.

C - Mark Williams, James Nnaji (draft pick from Barca)

Agree with their backcourt, they need a quality third guard.  At C do they still have Nick Richards and Kai Jones?

No idea. I am not familiar with those plays.

B-Ref says Nick Richards is a free agent. Kai Jones is still on their books. He is on a rookie scale contract for two more years.

Julian Strawther is with the Nuggets. Not the Pacers. I missed that. That is a good bench piece for Denver.

G: R Jackson
G: (free agent), P Watson
F: C Braun, J Strawther
F: Z Nnaji, V Cancar
C: D Jordan

Never heard of Peyton Watson. Last pick in first round last year. Only played 186 minutes last year.

The PF rotation is weak.

I wonder if they will use C Braun as a SG. Looks like him and Strawther will be their best bench players after Reggie Jackson.

The Sacramento Kings are signing No. 34 overall pick Colby Jones out of Xavier on a four-year, $8.76 million rookie deal, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Two years guaranteed. Jones becomes the first player signed under NBA’s new Second Round Pick Exception.

Presumably, Walsh would be in the same neighborhood.

Why would Golden State sign Cory Joseph?

They have Steph Curry, Chris Paul and Gary Payton II. C Joseph is going to be their 4th choice PG.

Are they planning on using Gary Payton II as a two guard? Or Steph as a two guard alongside CP3 at point? It looks like they are planning something here.

Payton is definitely a 2 guard to me. It’s a weird, tiny team.

Paul / Joseph
Curry / Payton II / Podziemski
Klay / Moody
Wiggins / Kuminga
Green / Looney

Is that their depth chart?

Could be. I'd love to see them bench Klay and start Looney instead.

Lot of trade talk around Kuminga still.

They need to trade Klay. So much of that lineup dysfunction is about trying to fit him in. Everything would get easier without him on the team.

They do realize the defending champs in their conference were lead by a big man, and there are several more top tier players of that size in the league now right? Or are they banking on a supposedly now 7'2 Kuminga to be their defensive presence in the middle?

Hmm ... the Wolves have rounded out their bench.

G: Shake Milton
G: Nickeil Alexander-Walker
F: Troy Brown Jr
F: Kyle Anderson
C: Naz Reid

They have been busy in the first few days of free agency. Re-signed Naz Reid too. So 4 signings.

G: Mike Conley, Shake Milton
G: Anthony Edwards, Nickeil Alexander-Walker
F: Jaden McDaniels, Troy Brown Jr
F: Karl Anthony Towns, Kyle Anderson
C: Rudy Gobert, Naz Reid

When Minnesota move on from that twin towers lineup and trade one of those guys for a star player at a different position, that team could become a title contender. The A Edwards, Towns / Gobert, trade from Towns / Gobert trio would be strong. Mike Conley and Jaden McDaniels are terrific glue guys to start alongside their three stars. I like Naz Reid and Kyle Anderson off the bench. Not wild about the perimeter bench trio.

That team could get really good really quick. Be a force in the West.
