Is it true Blazers like to include Nurkic with Lillard in any trade? Portland blowing up everything but still sign Grant to 5 years which is puzzling

Dame didn't help them out with the timing of his trade request. They already agreed to terms with Grant (in part because Lillard likes him) and it'd hurt them in future negotiations if they back out.

Yeah.  The best case scenario may be to try to negotiate a sign-and-trade.

Dude might be a better fit in Philly than T Harris. More athletic. More team speed. Better able to play SF alongside the slow PJ Tucker than Toby Harris.

Harris is the more skilled offensive player and better rebounder. Only 1 year left on his deal. So Portland sort Jerami Grant out while recreating their cap flexability moving forward.

That would be full circle since the Sixers drafted Grant.  Sixers need to resolve the Harden situation before doing anything else.

Tough offseason for the defending champs. The Nuggets lost key pieces in Bruce Brown and Jeff Green and Thomas Bryant already. Their options for adding decent bench players are also declining quickly.

ESPN Sources: Charlotte Hornets restricted free agent F Miles Bridges is preparing to sign a $7.9 million qualifying offer for the 2023-2024 season, clearing the way for him to become unrestricted next summer. Hornets and Bridges are far apart in extension talks. Story soon.

Yeah, Dame made sure his friend got paid before he asked out. I wonder what kind of thank you gift Grant is sending him in return.

Gordon to Phoenix on presumably the minimum. That’s a great pickup for them.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Does this affect their plan to offer a contract to Grant?

On what planet was Thomas bryant a key piece? He wasn’t in their rotation.

Charlotte now has $116.5M in salary after Miles Bridges signed his $7.9M Qualifying Offer.

They are over the salary cap because of the PJ Washington free agent cap hold.

It helps them if anything.  Bridges cap hold was $16 million, so this clear a little over $8 million in cap space.

Looking forward to giving up two #2s for a trade exception that we let expire.

I never intended to say he was. He's just another guy they lost. Brown was a big piece, and Jeff Green was a key bench player. They've added nobody so far.
