How much upside can a Scrubb have, though?

I’ll show myself the door.   :)

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Sam Griesel is going to be fun to watch in Summer League. Loads of hustle...

Haven't seen anything about Kabengele. Is he going elsewhere? Have the Celtics given up on him?

He’s a restricted free agent, I believe. That means the Celtics have until tomorrow (I think) to give him a qualifying offer.  He can’t negotiate with another team, even regarding summer league, until the C’s decide about that QO.

However, I wouldn’t expect him back.

It’s been a year , I’ve seen none of JD s developments,   I’m hoping I’m going to thrilled with his progress.   ;D

Man, I really like this summer league team:

Alexander Balcerowski, Kamar Baldwin, Justin Bean, Justin Champagnie, JD Davison, Eugene German, Sam Griesel, Reggie Kissoonlal, Mychael Mulder, Jay Scrubb, Vincent Valerio-Bodon, and Jordan Walsh.

Add Udoka Azubuike to that list. Maybe he can tako over Kabengele’s 2 way spot. He seems to be a very athletic big guy.

Check his stats from G League last season. Very impressive.

Azubuike is a solid, if very matchup specific choice. Is fairly limited, but rebounds well, plays decent defence, is massively strong and doesn’t miss shots because all he does is dunk.

I think, beyond our actual guys, I’m most interested in seeing Valerio-Boldon

The more I look at Alexander Balcerowski the more I'm interested. He can shoot the 3, he's really big, with really solid passing and screening. It's going to be a fun Summer League team.

Does Summer League wind up anywhere other than NBATV these days? I'll freely admit I haven't tried to watch it in years.

The full schedule is posted in the Summer League thread. A good amount of games are on ESPN. The Webanyama effect..  :D

I’m interested in seeing if Alexander Balcerowski can replace Kornet as the big stiff on the end of the bench. His game looks to be more like Porzingis’ than Kornet’s, so there would be more continuity if the 4th string center was playing due to injuries.

I thought Azubuike would be better than he’s been coming out. Will be interesting to see what a change of scenery does for him. Blake Griffin was our big body rebounder last year, maybe he can play that role? Or at least Kabangele’s.
