According to a league source, the Celtics are sending Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala to the Wizards in the Porzingis trade.

So Brogdon is the starter now?

They go from wanting to trade him to making him a starter. lol

Omg noooooo, why Smart?! That makes more sense for Memphis with Ja’s suspension. But there’s got to be more to this deal right??

I like Brogdon better for Memphis than Smart. They need offense more than a defensive guard.

It's an interesting question.  I don't think either is a great fit with Ja to be honest.  Brogdon would do a better job of running offense while Ja is suspended (assuming he's healthy enough at the start of the year to do so) but I don't like the defensive pairing of Ja and Brogdon.  Meanwhile Smart can cover Ja's deficiencies much better but I don't like Smart and Ja together at the offensive end.

Both combinations are very flawed.

So... the trade for is (vaguely) Smart, Gallinari, and Muscala for Porzingis and two first round picks?

Brogdan is a better starter

I would assume the starting lineup will be White/Brown/Tatum/Porzingis and one of Horford and Rob.

What a brilliant deal!!! Wow.

Got rid of expendable Smart. With White/Brown/Tatum/Porzingis/Williams or Horford, no need for Smart to be a starter anymore. And got a couple of firsts in the process.
This is amazing work.

Smart for an All Star + picks  :o

What a gut punch. KP and two 1sts is a haul for Smart and likely Gallo +, but man he was the heart and soul of this team. Won’t be the same.

we got 2 first round picks

That doesn't help us now!!!!!  We are just in the start of the JT/JB prime.  We need other good players who are ready NOW!

I keep hearing that Boston's title window is open for, like, 10 years, so ... plenty of time, right?

Yes!!! Lol

Yeah , amazing haul. Sad to lose Smart- he was a true Celtics player but hero ball no more. I can live with this.
