I just don’t get how they can review the 3pt foul and not conclude he either double-dribbled prior to the shot attempt, OR Horford fouled him there and it should have been a non-shooting foul for 2 FT.

Something illegal clearly happened prior to Butler raising up.

I just don’t like how they review one thing but can’t overturn another while literally looking right at it on replay.

For game 7:

-do not see Boston shooting that bad from 3. They had wide open looks.

-think bam is hurt (shoulder) and butler looks slow. His best offense is getting bailed out by the ref.

-need grant to show up. He was not good.

-Limit the turnovers

-keep playing good defense

-ride the crowd

-MAKE YOUR FTs

Come on NBA. If you want a good product, you want DEN-BOS Finals. Your wish of a LAL-BOS backfired.

Don't make it Denver vs a hobbled up Miami team.

Butler had no chance to make the 3 on al. He knew it so he launched himself into Al to get the foul. He was [dang] near horizontal

Butler was not able to be guarded the last 4 minutes because the refs bailed him out. 7 free throws in 2 minutes is just comical

Yeah, Butler got bailed out on almost every play in the last two minutes. That last play where he lunged into Horford, he also lost the ball and double dribbled. It shouldn't even have been called a foul in a potential series winning play. If you're going to call a foul there, it was when Horford's arm got him in the forehead before the shot. Shame on the refs!

absolutely disgusting the calls butler got the last few minutes coupled with us missing like 4 straight shots on other end then marcus missing a FT that basically woulda made miami have to force a three at the end.....i just..................i just..............................smh

i mean did the nba really want miami in the finals? sure looked that way how they helped butler. complete travesty. thank GOD white saved us in a miracle in miami finish

It's crazy to think White was not even on the floor in the closing minutes of playoff games until Brogdon's injury.

Just so it’s said, no, I don’t think the NBA conspired to get Miami in the Finals. No I don’t think Silver (or his people) communicate with refs to determine who they’ll favor game to game, series to series.  Refereeing is flawed and imperfect - and I have no doubt that refs calls might be influenced by crowds and by personal player preferences - mostly subconscious. I buy no conspiracies.

And Butler actually lunged forward and flailed in all directions when he took that 3 point attempt. Crazy stuff.

Heat fans need to accept that they got lucky butler wasn’t called for the double dribble. That makes the foul, clock irrelevant

Not sure if this was mentioned elsewhere:

Just heard a good point that the NBA had confirmed that they would have looked at the 3 point line for Butler’s free throws whether or not Mazz had challenged, but they wouldn’t have added the .9 back on the clock if he hadn’t.  And that saved the game.
Yup

Not happy with our defense down the stretch. Horford in particular was bad.

We need Timelord in those situations. Defense is more important than offense with a 10-pt lead. And you know Rob would have gotten us a loose ball or two in that stretch.

If you look at the playoffs the last couple years, I don't think he's really been on the court for any of the meltdowns.

Timelord made a couple of bonehead plays and bumbled the ball a bit.  Looked shaky and Joe to him out.

Timelord wasn’t by any means alone in looking shaky at that point, but I think that was the reasoning.

Yeah, Rob was making several mistakes on defense late in the 4th, I was glad Mazzulla took him out when he did as he could have cost us the game. Butler and the Heat were targeting him every time down forcing the switch.
