my heart cant take a close game 7...I wont watch.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

hopefully its like the Philly or milwaukee game 7's where the celtics just won going away...

who is the potential Refs for game 7? scott foster? hoping no tony brothers...

Yes we need to put them away!! from the whistle, The last 2 games they won at TD we where up by 10. The stress level has been high for me, I gave up on them after 3-0 and was getting ready for off season plans. I knew they would win one more for Cs pride, then they won 2, its been so up and down from dropping games at the garden to this, we need to take game 7 from the start.

That was a heart wrenching finish.  It was like they did everything they could to give the game away.  Then Smarts shot was in and out in and out like a two pump chump.  White saving the day was just unbelievable.  White is always in the right place at the right time.  Game 7 in Boston makes me feel much better.  The C's should have dominated that game last night and won by 20 if they shot average from the 3pt line.  If their D plays the same and their office is average they will win game 7 by a nice margin.

This is what I saw:

"However, if you rewind just a bit further, there's a case that Butler actually double-dribbled before the foul took place and should not have been rewarded with the free throws in the first place. As Butler goes to gather for a shot, he loses control of his dribble and grabs the ball with both hands. He then begins dribbling again, which is not allowed. Perhaps you could interpret that as a bobble, but that would be generous to the Heat star."

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/breaking-down-the-controversial-final-few-seconds-of-the-celtics-thrilling-game-6-win-over-heat/

I literally came here to post the same thing. After just rewatching the whole sequence, ladies and gentleman if we lost, we would have been robbed.
I get that the official wouldnt get that in real time, but the review had to pick it up.

I can't get the image to embed properly, but someone on reddit has posted a great camera angle of the double dribble:
https://www.reddit.com/r/bostonceltics/comments/13trev3/seems_fine/

"...unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. They have a lot of it."

Probably. I have watched that last play at least dozen times now and saw another thing: White was able to have a clean put-back look because Tatum rushed in from the FT line to the rim and blocked out Martin who was recovering from the weak side.  Watch it again and you'll see what I mean.

When Butler hit the three and our offense had been reduced to getting free throws on the off chance the Heat got called for a ticky tack foul, I was getting a little concerned.

Definitely the most tense game in a long time.

One of the great moments in franchise history though, and that's saying something.

And Smart missing one of two free throws. Like. Why.

Not happy with our defense down the stretch. Horford in particular was bad.

We need Timelord in those situations. Defense is more important than offense with a 10-pt lead. And you know Rob would have gotten us a loose ball or two in that stretch.

If you look at the playoffs the last couple years, I don't think he's really been on the court for any of the meltdowns.

Smart really had a horrendous 4th quarter. He was choking like a dog, walking the ball up the court, not moving the ball the way a point guard should. He also lost Robinson on that big 3 pointer, and he lost someone else late for a layup.

He needs to stop slowing the pace with the lead. It really is mostly his fault, and i am sick of it. He's being dong this for years with no consequence, and the other players seem to follow his example.

I see heat fans crying that refs were on Boston's side all night. I know I'm a Celtics fan but....jimmy literally shot 7 free throws the last 3 minutes. I feel like we were watching totally different games

They almost won by baiting the refs. They went from "let them play" in the first half to "if Jimmy runs into guys and falls down call the foul"...he also jumped into Horfords on that 3....thought they were supposed to eliminate that

Joe drew up the play

Heat forgot our secret fake play .  A smart shot outside .

Joe , “Let Smart shoot the ball.  Certain brick “

“ Everybody crash the board as it flys "”

Result …D White hero …he knew it was brick  ;D

Heat Nation stunned to the core.

An horrible game with guys far from their standards (Smart and Rob defensively, Horford and Grant offensively, Tatum in the second) but at least we maintained our grit and Jaylen is maybe getting better and better in this serie (he was the biggest concern on the 0-3 I guess, wit Mazzula decisions), which is the key.

Finally it is an historic game which lead to an historic serie if we win it. Derrick is now a bostonian for life. Last game, we surely will keep our grit, but Jimmy and Bam will give everything they have. We are favorite again and this is no good. Jays have to do it, show it is the Jays territory and destroy the Spoelstra zone time.
At least if we pass the Heat, medias and fans will doubt us against Denver (with stamina, up and downs, coaching) and as underdogs we will be able to give everything to the end.

We completely dominated the paint. We are bigger, longer, more athletic. The Heat team is comprised of Butler, Bam, and a bunch of 3pt chuckers. Maybe Heat fans should blame Pat Riley for once for not putting together a balanced team.

Yeah I think the media isn't giving Boston enough credit for why Bam/Jimmy have been average last 3 games. It's not happened for no reason. It's the Celtics defense effort to take them away and clog the paint.

It's just that Miami's undrafted players are playing like splash bros shooting 50% from 3
