Miami is tough I give them credit. Jimmy butler is an absolute beast but isn’t even the best player in the series and beyond him, bam and a washed up klove/Lowry the heat have a g league roster. Inexcusable to lose to them, if we somehow get beat by them they won’t even be competitive in the finals.

Nope. Will be a 5 game series like against LA in 2020.

Still have faith we will win.

I mean…I just can’t anymore

Jaylen Brown: "We came out too cool. It was almost like we were playing a regular season game."

Marcus Smart: "We get tired of doing the little things sometimes."

It's the Eastern conference finals. If this doesn't get the team up what does?

I don't get where they got their sense of arrogance from. They haven't really won anything to prove they can coast and win.

This team did the same under brad....and Ime though. There's a reason brad stepped down. And the Celtics had two 7 game series last year.

At some point it's the players

Generational wealth?  Winning and losing, along with playoff performance, don't matter in the grand scheme of their lives.

That, plus no real sense of pride.

Miami simply played harder in the third quarter. That was it. They played harder. Boston is just bloated, self entitled group of individuals who just think they can show up and play when they want. They have accomplished nothing when compared to the teams they are measured against in this franchise.

They at times are very hard to cheer for.

You would think though with having this same song and dance year after year they would realize they can't just show up and win.

I mean Milwaukee and Miami last year should not have been 7 game series. And it cost them against golden state.

Now this year it's the same story. Unnecessarily extended the Atlanta series and the Philly series. And now the Miami series looks to be the same.

If you really want to win a ring you can't act like it's a regular season game. This team hasn't won anything. If all they do is get to the ECF of finals and lose. That's a culture of losing

But we know what will happen they will win games 2 and 3. Then act entitled again lose game 4 and we'll hear "we didn't take them seriously" then gave to come up with some heroics just to pull the series out.

No one exposes the Celtics turnover problems like the heat. Painful to watch and frankly I still believe the warriors saw the tape of the heat defending us and causing us to turn it over constantly and exposed the same flaws only with a more talented roster and rode it to a championship.

Being prohibitive favorites in most media and in most peoples minds is worst case scenario for this team. No one giving the heat a shot to win this series plays right into their hands and is terrible for us.

These are professional athletes..if u can’t get ready & get fire up for a game (especially playoffs) then each player need to look in the mirror and blame themselves..and for some reason this team doesn’t play great at home but play better on the road
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Yep. The Heat know how to attack Brown and Tatum in order to make them turn it over. They laid the blue print defensively.

Spo is so far ahead of the anyone on this this team. I mean they beat Boston with 2 legit players, a handful of g leaguers and some old dudes that just are past their prime.

Kyle Lowry? Seriously?

Yeah.  People say coaching doesn't matter, but in this series you have a top-two coach going up against a bottom-two coach.  It matters.

That said, I'll blame Joe for the in-game mismanagement, and I'll blame him for season long lack of accountability.  But, the inability to give full effort / focus in the Eastern Conference Finals?  That's on the players, for lack of professionalism.

Absolutely. The fact everyone here knew that kind of performance was probably going to happen last night is really sad. And it is 100 percent on the players. When fans know the team's issues by heart and see them over and over there is an issue with the players. No leadership or anything in that lockerroom. The more I watch these guys the more I feel they are far from a team. Just a collection of individuals that sometimes play well together but mostly just worry about the "me".

They have yet to learn from any mistakes...going back to last year's playoff run. Turn it over. Hero ball. Lazy effort. Can't put anyone away. This Miami team is painfully average and here we are. Down 1-0 once again with another home loss.

Remember when the Garden use to be automatic wins? This team has ruined that.

Third quarter blues get us again!

What, do they nap at half time and use the third to wake the F back up?

If they’re going to take a nap at least they could take a good one.  All that took was a little cat nap at the start of the second half and the 12 point lead was gone and we’re playing from behind.

The turnover differential wasn’t bad overall when you look at the box score, but the timing of them was pretty bad.  The Celts made 4 straight stops in the 4th and couldn’t gain any ground on the other end (maybe two Tatum free throws?).

3 point shooting was the difference - you expect Butler to do his thing bi Vincent, Strus, Martin and Lowry each had 15 points and got streaky at different times.

Very weird game.  Even when the Celts were ahead they were playing a game that they don’t tend to sustain.  Marcos turning into Magic Johnson was kind of fun for a hat though.
