Poll: Heat vs. Celtics Series Predictions

This might shock people.

But gun to my head... I probably predict Heat in 6 

When the C's play like they did today, or late in Game 6 vs PHI, they are unstoppable. Problem is, they aren't always consistent. We can get by ATL despite sleepwalking a few games, and barely get by PHI, but I highly doubt they can afford to do that against Miami.

I HOPE they prove me wrong though obviously. We should absolutely win this series on paper and we have a lot more talent, even though I have mad respect for Butler and Spoelstra in particular.

As is tradition I have voted for the C’s to lose in 5, because it worked against Philadelphia, who are better than Miami.

Look - the Heat are a tough out. But they're simply not offensively talented enough to beat us, especially without Herro. They just don't have the firepower. We're better both offensively and defensively, and we have multiple looks to throw at Jimmy.

Isn't Herro supposed to return in this series? Either way, Celtics in 6. They are the better, deeper team. Jimmy is good for one win, and Spoelstra is good for another, but they don't have enough to win this series.

Hands up, like I said in the OP, I voted Heat in 6.

I'd be ecstatic if I'm wrong though. My worry is also Spoelstra and Bam. For some reason Bam always seems to give us trouble. And that's not even factoring in Playoff Jimmy

Actually they changed the tune and said it could be earlier. They've been saying it on the Broadcasts too. I doubt it'll be any of the early games, but maybe after Game 4?

Could be another Chris Bosh situation where he came back in like Game 5 and had an impact the last two games in 2012

Heat in 6. C's consistency is lacking and Spoelstra will outcoach Joe and will show in this series. Don't forget about the revenge factor, Jimmy Butler. Max Strus and Gabe Vincent will also have career or Jordan nights on us.

My heart says Celtics in 5 tho.

I think we match up better against the Heat than the Sixers. The Heat don't have any players that we can't just guard straight up one on one. e have a better team than last year and I think the Heat minus Herro aren't as good. A healthy TIMELORD and the addition of Brogdon make us odds on favorites.

Celtics in 6.  I'm concerned about the Joe vs Spolestra matchup.  But our roster is much more talented, and far more often than not the more talented team wins in a 7 game series.

Unlike last series where you could have reasonably argued 4 of the 6 best players were on the Sixers (including the best player), there is basically no argument that 4 of the 6 best players in this series are Celtics, including the best player.  The C's are also better 5 through 8.  Butler is certainly capable of winning a couple of games for the Heat, but unless he is far and away the best player in at least 5 games, the Heat have no shot at winning the series.    Butler could do that, I just don't think he will.
