Crazy thing is - this collapse could spell the end for this version of the Sixers. If we win on Sunday, can anyone really imagine Doc or Harden back in Philly, and at that point, is Embiid even willing to stay there?

I think if they lose this series in this fashion, they fire Doc, Harden walks to Houston, and Embiid asks out.

I'm at least happy we have at minimum a few more days left in the season. Hopefully week(s) after this weekend

Gotta say, the Sixers players looked devastated at the end, like they know the series is over.

It's not quite as stunning for them as game 4 was for us, but we basically lost two games just from that one loss because of how shell shocked we were. Let's hope they don't come to play in game 7. What a turn of events that would be.

I can’t imagine Philly doesn’t come out with great energy and tough D.  Heck - they’ve already won 2 out of 3 in Boston. Difference between Game 1 (especially) and Game 7 is that G1 was one of those play loose, no pressure, no expectations games. And Harden was phenomenal.   I think they’ll be strung tighter on Sunday. But Philly will probably be a very tough out.

Not happy with Harden

anyone backing off the notion that joe should have benched tatum is drunk on the emotion of the “win.” if hauser or pp or grant replace jt during the game and hit just a few pedestrian buckets, the c’s win going away and they don’t need his last minute “heroics.”

this was bad coaching and if the sixers don’t completely melt down in epic doc fashion, the c’s lose handily.

our future super max finally hit a few shots, after disappearing for most of the playoffs, including last year’s finals, and suddenly he’s the man? go sell crazy some place else.

i’m glad the c’s won and everyone can revel in the moment, but this isn’t sustainable, winning basketball.

This is a bad time for an 'I told you so' moment. Perhaps not starting Tatum would have yielded different results, but by the time we knew Tatum was bad (end of the 1st), it was already official. It had happened.

Give the man his dues. He was a punching bag all night and came up big when we needed him the most. That is the definition of a superstar.

Sixers have never been here. Celtics have. 4-1 with Tatum/brown in game 7. closing Celtics out in Philly vs a game 7 in Boston is a big difference.

Could still go either way but sixers should be much tighter.

This game changes everything. Pressure gone, confidence up. We win it all now. Big #6 must be smiling upstairs right about now.

I know I keep saying this but I can't imagine JT will play bad this much. At some point he'll be due for an all-around great game (including 1st half). Hopefully it's Sunday.

It's been said ad nauseam at this point, but it's literally as simple as running some sets early in the game to get Tatum some good looks. It was the obvious thing to do today and we didn't, but hopefully it's so painfully obvious after tonight that Tatum only needs to see one ball go through the net that even Joe can't screw that up on Sunday.

Actually they have been here, plenty of times. They never win though lol

Not happy with Harden

Is it me or does he blame his teammates after every loss?

Yes I’m sure Preston Pritchard or Grant Williams are more meaningfully impactful to winning basketball games than Jayson Tatum.

Players miss shots. It happens.

You are missing the point.

All three of those guys are shooters, though Joe has done everything he can to tear down their confidence.
All three play 10 minutes each, Tatum and Brown get some rest. those three surely hit a few shots between them, plus Grant and Peyton bring energy and effort. Not sure what Mazzulla's problem is with Grant.

And if they have bad Hauser/grant games you would be calling for mazullas head for putting in Hauser/grant instead of Tatum/brown in an elimination game on the road.

And if Tatum keeps missing, you are doing the same.
Though maybe you support Joe no matter how bad of a coach he is.
